Differences between oxycodone and hydrocodone?

Differences between oxycodone and hydrocodone?

What are the differences between oxycodone and hydrocodone?

Are the withdrawal symptoms similar? Is one easier than the other to quit?

TIA

I can only speak for myself but oxycodone seems 50% stonger than hydrocodone, I could take 1 5mg perc and have the same effect as a 10mg hydro but that may be just me. WD seem harder and last longer on the oxycodone.(IMO)

Oxy is a Schedule 2 med and Hydor is a Schedule 3. That means that Oxy has a higher addiction rate. It is suppose to be stronger, but not to my body chemistry. Hydro lasts so much longer for pain relief. I have not seen which could get me higher, I can just speak for pain relief. It does seem like it hits faster and stronger becuase it makes me drowsy as Hydro doesn't. It makes me itch like a *****! Whew!

I've taken both for years, percocet (oxy) is MUCH stronger than hydro.

Hi there :)
I was just reading posts and PLEASE do not take any offense to the correction I am about to make concerning your post. I just wanted to let you know that both oxycodone and hydrocodone are opiods. Tylenol is just a brand name for the over the counter pain reliever acetemetaphine and ibuprofen is an over the counter pain reliever commonly recognized by some brand names such as Advil or Motrin.
Hydrocodone is normally mixed with acetemetaphine and sometimes ibuprofen hence the numeric values ( 10/500, 7.5/500, 10/325 ) etc. the first number being the amount of narcotic pain reliever/blocker and the second number the amount of acetemetaphine or ibuprofen. This goes the same for oxycodone as well.
I realize that there are so many things we hear and there is a lot of false info regarding medication.
I also wanted to post to make sure that the info was corrected right away for others. Some of you out there might be saying, "hey..that's common knowledge" but as you can see...it's not!
Of course the best information is what you get by asking a licsensed medical care professional.
Hope that I didn't come across cocky...but helpful :)
Hope everyone is doing okay today
xoxo
