Yea...IMO, starting subs now would be CRAZY!!!  You've gotten this far...you'll get there.  If you go on the subs, you're going to have to w/d off THEM at some point too...so if anything, I think you'll be adding more issues.

could you be craving and wanting to relapse because you know the offer of sub is on the table if you do.Our minds will try to do whatever it takes to bury us sometimes. Hope you don't cave and get rid of pills if you have them

Hey sorry your having a rough time but it really takes more time to level out and start feeling better. It took me every bit of thirty days before I felt human and not in such a struggle.
PLEASE do not start on subs as you are already ten days clean and I guarantee you you will not feel like this in 20 more days.Just hang in there!

Well went and clonidine. Hope it helps. Makes ya sleepy? Great! I'm already exhausted. Dr offered me Sub. I told him I'd think about it. I read its great. But some abuse. I'm gonna try one more week. If still feeling awful, I'll consider it.

This medicine is pretty safe. I hate the above poster had problems with it.

I have said to someone else, it's the number 1 off label med prescribed to teens with insomnia. To avoid them becoming dependent on sleeping pills.

It's also given off label for wds. I'm not sure why this medicine is given as opposed to another. I haven't seen other BP meds with uses listed as opiate withdrawl. Maybe I can check at Jimi's Google school and see!

I have seen one other poster say it caused lack of energy, but you're low on energy anyway. I have taken this med for two years. It didn't affect my energy one way or the other, but I would say if you get it, get the pills, not the patch, so you can control your amount. Say, if you just wanted to use at night.

If you have a dr who will RX it, I say get it, in pull form, and try yourself. I think you'll be pleased. I have noticed many posters saying it helped, it for sure helped me. But since everyone is different, give it a try.
Hope it helps :)

Yes, just be cautious what you mix it with. It helps me with the restlessness but it can make you feel kind of crappy at times--like you just don't have any energy.  Also, this is a drug that it is recommended that you start slowly and build up a tolerance to it and then stop taking it slowly.  However, only taking it for a short time shouldn't be a problem.

I took it for a few months for other reasons and it just came in handy when I stopped taking percs.  When I stopped to Clonadine after taking it for several months, I wild swings in blood pressure and crazy anxiety spells.  So approach this medication with caution.

Clonidine was my original question. I still feel agitation and rage and RLS. Should I get it?

Clonidine is an anti-hypertensive med that is NOT "addicting".  That being said, after being on it for a few weeks, it's recommended that it be weaned, due to rebound hypertension issues.

Klonopin (or Clonazepam) is a benzodiazepine, (anti-anxiety medication) that can be habit-forming.

These two meds gets mixed up a lot.

Yeah the two are often confused. Clonadine does work by lowering your BP....which wds can send through the roof. High BP I think is part of the reason for many symptoms such as jitters, RLS etc..

This is all conjecture on my part, based on my online pre-med studies at google.com University.....

It helps with sleep, anxiety and jitters.  Just be very careful because it is very addictive.
