Hi everyone, just checking in, I know I haven't posted much in awhile but I do read the forums daily. I am doing so much better!!!  The antidepressants were definitely the key to getting me well. I went 8 months being sick to my stomach and just could not take it anymore, it was no life, just a struggle to get through each day. I wish I had known a lot earlier that I needed an antidepressant to get better. It was more of a physical thing with me than mental, I was so nauseated it was driving me out of my mind. Of course I had bad anxiety too but the physical was definitely the worst. It's great because I don't feel like I am on anything, just feel so much better. So my husband and I are leaving on Wednesday (15th ) for a Caribbean cruise and thank God I am feeling so much better but it is kind of weird not being on those other drugs, I always felt like I was clear headed when on the methadone but now that I am off, it's a different world! Altogether I lost 40 pounds so I had no clothes to put in my suitcase LOL. Anyway I am back on the 28th of January, will check back in when I get back, take care all.

I just want to thank everyone that commented on my post, I really appreciate it. I am feeling a bit apprehensive and nervous but still looking forward to it. When I was on the methadone nothing bothered me so this will be quite different. I know that once I am there I will be okay. As I said, I will check in when I get back.

I'm so happy for you.....and glad the Rx merry go round search is over for you.  All the different drugs your dr put you on after methadone just made your healing more complicated....but it sounds like you finally have a simple plan that is working for you!!!  Now.....did you go SHOPPING?????  New clothes for the new body and suitcase???
Have fun dear one....I couldn't be happier for you....check back in after the cruise...and we expect some pictures too girly.....LOL

Sooo glad you're feeling so much better! I've shared your experience with the antidepressant with others who sound like they're in similar situations. Hopefully it will help them too! One guy has been methadone free for a year and a half and is still sick! He CT off of like 430mg but still... 18+ months later he should be feeling some relief!
I joined a closed methadone group on Facebook and saw his post there if you're ever interested in chiming in :-) They were very unhappy with me for referring to methadone as poison but whatever, lol. Some of them are totally PRO methadone; but a lot are in similar situations as me...
Anyways... Just wanted to say have an awesome time on vacation! After the year you've had, I think its fair to say you deserve it!!!
And congrats on the weight loss! I can't wait til my clothes are too big on me!
