Done done done

I don't know what to do anymore. I want out n want off this sh** but I don't know. I know that I want off but I feel like I'm just not ready, I don't know. I do know I'm not getting anywhere in life like this. And I'm only taking 1 maybe 2 30mg roxi a day so my WD won't be that bad at all but I'm just scared.  I'm embarrassed about the point I'm at. I have no money and no hot water. I can't even pay to get any oil deliver to run my boiler. I'm going to be miserable in wd this week. I'm on my own with no family or friends to help I just hope the weather stays somewhat warm in Massachusetts this week

That's the addict in us. There's always that one script we can't cancel, that one dealer we can't delete. As addicts we feel safe and secure knowing there's always some sort of back up. I won't tell you to get rid of it. Only you can do that, just know the journey never really gets started until all the drugs are gone. I'm sorry for what you're going through with finances and stuff. But think of the money you'll have next pay day cuz you don't have to buy the drugs. Hang in there man and congrats on day one!!

PS I know a lot of you will say toss that sub, but I can't as of right now. It's my cushion, my security blanket that makes me feel like everything is ok. But believe me, if I don't take it by 9pm tomorrow night, then that thing is gone....... actually I'll make my deadline by 5pm for the sub. I know my wd symptoms usually get better  around mid day 3.

Hey guys/gals. Still here and still pluggin along. Day 1 is just about done, and I made it thru work today. It was tough as nails but I got it done. As far as subs go, I do have 1 12mg strip that I am holding for an emergency welding job, incase I need a steady hand. And that would be the only way I'd actually take it because they scare the crap outta me. As far as WD goes, I kno it's ten fold if I'm sitting on the couch doing nothing, it makes my brain go 100 mph. So my best bet is to just work threw it and pray all goes well.  I'm mostly nervous about bills, I make great money but I'm tapped out this month and need to wait 3 weeks for my next check and I know the bills I owe on will be calling by Friday. And as I mentioned above its cold and I can't take a hot bath or shower so I'm miserable at home till I can get some money for oil. I've looked at everything at my house tonight that I can take and pawn to get a little cash together but I have nothing :( I'm miserable and rambling I'm sorry

......plus......you've been on them for almost 12 years....?  Can anybody else with cred (medical background) give the 411 on the pros or cons of being on an opiate this long to combat against the use of another opiate.?  I have read that coming off subs can be rather difficult as well.....soooooo.....I'm asking the obvy peeps ....what's the deal here?

Plus this guys on a relatively low dose of Roxie's,I'd hate to see him get into subs for that. Be easier to quit the Roxie's and be done with it then drag out the w/d's when he decides to quit the subs. Which would be harder to quit.

NJgirl."...no offence, but you are still dependant on a controlled substance....right?  Aren't you just trading one drug for a more socially accepted drug? Just askin?

I encourage you to go on a Suboxone program. Im a recovering heroin addict. Ive been clean for almost 12 yrs on July. 22. I could not have done it without the help of Suboxone. I know alot of people say "your substituting one drug for another". But that is so far from the truth!
Heroin.. I was injecting a lethal substance into my body that could have killed me at any given time. I was stealing from family. That was no way for my babies to see me with my halead hanging low from nodding. I was blowing through countless dollars. I wasnt functioning as citizen. Not working. Looked like ****.
With Suboxone. . Ive been almost 12 solid years clean! I have no urges.I function as a normal working citizen. Im studying to be a drug addiction counselor. Im not broke. My kids know me a loving caring mother. I also now have the trust of my family and friends. My mom is no longer afraid to put her pocketbook down next to me. Also with Suboxone you dont have to checkin everyday with a doctor just to get your dose. You go once a month and then eventually biweekly to pick up a script from the doctor then fill it a your pharmacy. I urge you to give it a shot. If this is something you really want (to be clean) then it will work for you.  If you have any questions pls feel free to ask.

We are here for you!  And I live in CT so hopefully your weather in MA will be as nice as it is here and you won't have to worry about heating your house!  Spring is a good time for a new beginning!!
Keep on posting and let us know how you re getting on!!!

Hey honey....

You are not alone. You are here for support and this is a great place. We are a bunch of addicts in all stages of recovery and we can support you and guide you through this whole thing.

So now that you are done you have to make changes in your life/lifestyle in order to get yourself back on track. There is no such thing as hopeless so know that you CAN do this.

Tell us a little more about your situation so we can give you the right information and stuff. Are you prescribed these pills or are you buying them on the street? No shame there. We are addicts. Now you have to decide if you want to be an addict in recovery or an active addict. I think you want to be in recovery.

I hope you keep posting and stick around. It is a little quiet on sunday nights so be patient as members come in. Everyone is here to help you.
