Dr. says im crazy

Well as some of you know I've been on Methadone for 8 yrs due to a couple health issues.  About a month ago my Dr.all of a sudden decicded to take me off of pain pills and try different methods.And not bcause I abused them or anything like that,but more to do with state regulations or something.I also before starting the methadone tried. All kinds of other medicines.  Antidepressants etc....I found out I'm also allergic to Acetamenphin and Ibuprofen.Anyway. I found the only thing that worked to get me off the couch was pain pills unfortunately.  I now have a goo job and a productive part of society....but. am willing to try a sober new start.except my dr. Said that withdrawls from methadone is all madeup and its all lies.So h got upset that I had read different and have also exsperienced different.So instaead of dropping 10mls a month he dropped me from 60ml to 25 in 1 months time and next month to 10 then 0.what is u0 with that this so pisses me off.I'm so scared of losing my job and my other health issues reaping hell on me.  High bolood pressure too.I also had seizures from wds before.its not fair for a dr. To put u on this stuff then. Put you threw hell.wtf?

he is at 2 high of dose of methadone to switch to sub need to be at 20mg to do the switch .................Gnarly

You can try to find a doc to prescribe suboxone. You don't have to go to a clinic for it. I've personally never tried suboxone, but a friend of mine swears by it.

Is there a methadone clinic in your area? If so, try going there. They will let you come down slowly at a rate your comfortable with, The down side you'll
probably have to pay out of pocket. My clinic is $95/wk. I've been there 2 yrs. my highest dose was 80mg and now I'm at 8mg. I was dropping 5mg at a time every 2-3 wks but from 15mg to 10mg I got horrible withdrawals so I know for a fact the withdrawals are VERY REAL. Yesterday was my 1st day of 8mg, I only went down 2mg hoping that the withdrawals won't be as bad as last time.  Good Luck!

Dude find a differnt doctor if nothing else go to a methadone clinic and they will bring you down safely this doctor you  have knows nothing about methadone hey I got to leave for work but wil talk again........Gnarly
