Dr. thinks im a beast

I had my first rehab dr. visit today and he was doing my intial exam asked the usualy questions how tall are you how much u weight blah blah, what was your DOC when was the last time you used. I told the guy 11 days ago was my last pill he dropped his pen turned around with jaw down and made me take a drug test because he didnt believe it. Drug test came back negative then he blurted out "your a ******* beast man". LOL kinda made me feel good that i got through the worst w.ds ive ever had and got through them without the usualy imodium (immodium) 9 times a day and bottles and bottles of tylenol or advil. By me not being in WDs still he took the subutex brouchure he had on his desk and through it back into the folder and said"well guess we wont be wasting our time talking about that" lol . But he is coexing me into trying to quit smoking about because he said the constant stress you have when u cant have a cigarette can be a very powerful trigger for some ppl. So im seriously thinking about stoping smoking again. He gave me optioins of CT which fawk that or two other types of meds i can take for 10 days to get over the intial symptons of the nicotine crave. But the good thing about the meds is i can still smoke if the urges get to strong within the first 10 days so having said that it intrgued me a little bit. So we will see how it goes tomorrow day 11 about to be behind me and ready to wake up for day 12 after i fall asleep.

I'm not sure stopping 2 habits at once is such a great idea...personally, I wouldn't worry about cigarettes right now...but I'm not trying to discourage you if you think you can do it.  =)

ya i wasnt to happy about it either but if im still able to use the commit lozenges while taking the meds wont be so bad its more a oral fixation for me then the actual nicotine. Before i went back to pills i wasnt smoking for like 4 months.

I dont smoke but still do the nicotine mints after 8 years!  I read up and do understand why i need to quit as the nicotine affects and sits on so many receptors...i want CLEAN receptors  LOL    it has been almsot 3 months and i am gearing up to tackle the nicotine addiction....yikes

Good luck to you.  I think you should not worry about the smoking right now.  All addictions are tough...you can try and tackel the smoking when your stronger with the other.  I wish you the best!

Sorry for the traps comment crispy...just hard not to notice dude....i agree with smoke....give it some time in between...it has been 3 months for me and i am just now kicking around the nicotine quitting...getting geared up for it...i will taper LOL...gotta make a plan myself now like i did with the tabs....taper it on down to zilch...may stop the taper and just CT and be done with it!
