Dreaded this day!

by Soonerdean, Jul 07, 2007 12:00AM
today is day 4 and this is the day I dreaded the most.  Over the past few weeks I have read posts stating that day 3-4 are generally the worst...day 4 did not disappoint.

LOTS of anxiety today, was in a bad moood all day and basically did not want to do anything.  Even got angry with my boss..that might not be a good idea for job security.

Anyway....I'm hoping tomorrow is better.  3 weeks ago I developed a kidney stone and went to the ER.  The doc gave me perc's to take, which I did, to ease the pain.  Two days later I had a stint put in that ran up to my kidney and EVERY time I had to do my business it hurt worse than the kidney stone...so I took the perc's.  A week later I underwent lithotrypsy to disolve the stone, which hurt like hell, and they gave me more perc's which I took...had no choice.  How unlucky am I to be trying to get off pain meds and I keep having medical problems that I actually need to take them.

Last week they took the stint out and...you guessed it....that hurt.  Imagine someone taking a 3 foot long plastic tube out of your body through a small opening...I got more perc's for that.  I cant catch a break.

I'm determined to get off these things but for some reason I keep having health problems that really do require pain meds.  I guess what does not kill you makes you stronger.

Dang!   You have had some pretty serious stuff going on lately!   You have been through quite a bit.  The important thing is that you do know that you want to get off the drugs and are taking steps to do so.  You'll catch a break, you just have to.

So are you planning on going cold turkey?   Whatever you do, just stick to it and follow through.  Whether you taper, go ct or use suboxone.

Hang in there and good luck on your recovery.

Wow, you can't get a break can you? lol... I wish you all the best and as long as you are just takin' it for pain than there is nothing you can really do other than when you don't need them, try and quit then.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Take care and have a try and have a wonderful nite.

Lonote, I totally agree with ya, I love Lenny Kravitz!!! lol...

Take care and hugz,

Lil.  :)
