DutchessGolden-QUESTION 4 U PLEASE :)

DutchessGolden-QUESTION 4 U PLEASE :)

ok, with all the talk today about prescription fraud, i'm getting paranoid now too, LOL...BUT SERIOUSLY... in the past, not recently... i have gone to different pharmacies, but my rx's were from the same doctor to get my hydrocodone filled, sometimes it was too early yet my doctor wrote me legit scripts anyways and the same (original) pharmacy wouldn't fill it cause it was to early, so i got them filled at different pharmacies.

so my question is this: could i get into any kind of trouble now??? it was a a while ago, back when i didnt think about getting into trouble, just getting a script. i didnt have any insurance i was a cash only patient. so can you please explain to me exactly how this process works. since my "bleeding ulcer and stay in the ICU last weekend, i not supposed to get stressed out and of course sitting around and resting ALL DAY, i have alot of time to think about things, and with all the questions about this subject today, now i'm STRESSING OUT about something i did a long time ago....

thank you sweety...

luv ya,
tink :)

I had some scripts for vicodin from my family dr. and some from my surgeon. I got them filled at the same pharmacy. They never over lapped. I made them last longer than the thirty days. It should be legal because I never abused them.

That's about all I know, but I wouldn't think you should have to worry.

Hugs......

No one is going to come chasing you down for that. You can rest easy. Cash only patients cannot be traced back to getting same meds from different docs and pharmacies ( unless those docs are chatting about you by chance over lunch and risking their license b/c they used your name) If you were getting scripts from the same doc but different pharmacies and paid cash then all of the liability is on the doc. If they are different docs but same pharmacy then the license of the pharmacist is on the line, not you. If you are using different docs and different pharmacies that would mean you are paying cash and nobody would know, b/c even using different pharmacies and different doctors on insurance it is automatically going to come up in the computer from insurance.

BTW if you run out of meds early and need to take them for your pain the doctor can always approve an early refill. My script 4 xanax is half of what I take so I get an early refill each month. They might tell you that it's too early for them to fill and blah blah, but that's when you tell them just to fa your doctors office for an early refill PERIOD, b/c the doc holds the liability in that case, not the pharm. tech. who filled it. I get early refills on tussionex each month also. If a pharmacist gives you grief KNOW YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS! and transfer your script and let the manager know exactly why that pharmacy lost your money.

I will be @ UCSD as of 12 hours from now and for the weekend so we will talk over e-mail about the blood transfusions and stuff if you would like. I don't use my msn IM just myspace. u can e-mail me ***@**** and i'll give you my private e-mail addy from there

xoxo- D.

You may be giving bad advice depending on the state. In my state you have to show a drivers license or state id to fill a narcotic script. This info goes to a central system regardless of cash pymnts, insurance or whatever.
