END of DAY 15 from Hydro's !!!

by K Todd, Sep 08, 2008 01:37AM
WOW !!  -  For only having 3 hours sleep today...it has turned out to be a great day.

I actually went out to my brothers house and shot some pool tonight with his friends (non-addicts)...and I actually had fun...I mean I really did,...despite the fact I was a little rusty at pool. But I never thought I would be able to have fun like this on Day 15 free from drugs, and have a little fun....it really does get better everyday, I just put my foot forward and it turned out great.

For the first time in history, I have to go back to work for a 1/2 day WITHOUT any drugs...and I actually feel good about it, and going to work for 1/2 day in the morning without my doc...

My drug free life just does still have its up and downs, ( small )....but I just really cant put into words on how great it feels to know I can function, laugh, drive, have a little fun...and start work agian...going back in easy....lol

Anyway...I thank you all in here and your loving support, as always....and give thanks to Christ for giving me the strength to keep marching on.

May God Bless You All.
Love,
Todd

Nice work, Brother!  So glad you had a great Day 15, and your Day 16 looks like it will be even better for you!  And, you'll be jumping into work nice and clean -- Awesome!  Way to knock it down ....

Funny, when I read about you playing pool -- I actually played some pool at a buddy's house after my Day 9, 2 days ago, and it felt completely different than any other time the past few years.  Lots more clarity, you know?  I just look forward to weaving myself back into my life with a view from the top ....

God Bless you, Brother ~ you're leaving me some great bread crumbs along this new path ....

We knew you could do it!  With jms on Day 11 and me on Day 10, you are an example of what inspiration has done for others!  Keep it up!!!

Love,
Amy

p.s.  You are strong and determined...this first day back at work will be so easy for you compared to the past 16 days!  Don't ruin it with worries...ENJOY this day you so deserve...it's freedom.

I'm on Day 88 and we can all beat this sickness.  Todd, just stay focused on an every day basis and remenber how brutal this process has been and it will motivate you to get through some difficult periods of time.  You can do it, my brother, but take my advice and remember you never want to feel like you have physically and mentally through this process, and you'll get to the finish line.
