Ecstasy and sleep paralysis

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or there is anything known about a connection between ecstasy and sleep paralisis?
I stopped doing pills about 5 months ago after using them quite frequently, I also quit before for about 2 months and I noticed that during the periods I was eating pills and slept I would have awful dreams where My mind was awake and my body was paralyzed, my mind would sometimes be half in a dream still so I would be in a state of half reality, sometimes i would even feel throbbing pain in some parts of my body, and i would not be able to wake up for what seemed like forever. This would happen almost every time I did manage to sleep, but during the times that I quit, and even before I did pills it NEVER happened, I've explained this to many people but no one has expirienced it, so I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about it? Much appreciated

hahah my name is sam, and ususaly i would just be able to see the room around me, sometimes i would see my roommate come in the room and he would talk to me, but i couldint respond, stuff like that ( he didnt really come in the room) and yeah i still dabble in acid, shrooms, ketamine and coke from time to time, i dont abuse them or anyhting, and i dont plan on doing pills anymore,  but it has never happened during my use of those, super weird :s, and yeah maybe i will talk to the doc, maybe just about sleep paralysis in general, but it isnt really a big problem in my life as of now, i guess i just wanted to know if i was the only one/ why this happened, and i guess i am haha

Hmm weird....well stay away from excstasy then cause what u r describing sounds scary! If it happens again I would definitly go to the dr and check it out....hell dont even mention the drug part if it bothers you that much just mention the symptoms.

Was there anybody else involved in your unconscious delusions, these dreams you speak of?
Anyway, this is to you funkyfish (aka) 'what ever'  I have dabbled in pretty much all types of drugs except heroin, been addicted to a lot and abused a lot including, ecstasy, LSD, ketamine, 2cb, valium and so on.....

In the end I have learned the lesson that some learn quickly and others do not behold the time to be able to learn, it took me over 7 years of delusion and abuse.
If you can assure that your doc is not legally allowed to speak with your parents, that you are old enough to be an adult, then trust me, it helps to open up to someone and drp that burden you carry each day, so invisible yet heavy

Yeah well since I don't do them anymore it's nit happening anymore, but it was very uncomfortable and unnerving when it did and I've always been curious about it, I have been wanting to ask a doctor but I'm sort of a shy person so mentioning any sort of drug use would be really hard for me lol so iwas maybe hoping someone here would know what I'm talking about

And yeS Devon I'm pretty sure I was awake anyway haha cause sometimes it would happen twice in a row, I'd wake up then fall into a half sleep where it would happen all over again

i used ecstasy for 4 years and it was my drug if choice for a long long time. I often consumed 1 gram of pure mdma or up to 12-14 pills in one night at its worse, yet I never have experienced sleep paralysis during that time or any other time.

I would advise seeing a doctor or something because I have never heard a direct link between the 2, plus I am sure the condition can be scary and get in the way of ones life.

Are you sure you are even truly awake? Often times when we are dreaming we think we are awake and we arent....its very vivid and hard to tell.  I havent done exctasy so I cant offer any advice but someone here should have more and better info.

Also wondering if it s normal to have throbbing pain during sleep paralysis? It only happens in one body part at a time, most often it's my neck, every couple seconds it's excruciating pain, and if I try to move at all it gets even worse, one time it it was in my head and it literally felt like my brain was going to pop out of my head :s ...
