I have heard that Suboxone could be used for pain in the elderly population to take the place of the many pain medications they may be on. such as morphine and Oxycodone Does anyone do this  and how would I approach my Mother's Doctor about this. .

well it can be prescribed for pain, but i do know that all drugs act differently in the elderly so just be careful of that, it certainly cant do her any harm if she is already on other narcotic pain meds, def. ask about it, it seems to help me with my everyday pain quite well.

The medications seem to keep her in a "Fog" All the time.  She sleeps way too much.  A doctor who I heard lecture thought it would be good.
