Energy discussion

Since energy, or lack-there-of, seems to be a problem for most (and reason for my continued failure to get clean) let's talk about how long it was before your energy levels came  back.  Plus, how to you deal with it while it's low. Sometimes it feels as though I can't even move!

I think getting out in the sun really helps with your energy..anything in the sun, run, walk, exercise, tennis, mow the yard, just sit in the sun, whatever you wanna do, just do it in the sun, plus sun drains you so when you do go inside you might even get a little sleep

It took a long time to get any semblance of energy back for myself........  Although I did find that L-Tyrosine helped a lot post withdrawal......500 - 2000 mg before breakfast ........

it takes a long time to get your energy back, thats why you have to stay completly clean for over a year to really start seeing the gifts of recovery

long term/heavy addicts have to deal with it for quite awhile.

I am still battling a lack of motivation and still have not returned to %100 normal energy wise.................I expected it.

It's been about 4-1/2 mos. and I still don't have much energy. I get around and do more than a couple of mos. ago, but I get burned out really easy. If I take a short trip away It takes several days to recover.

I think energy is the LAST thing to return (to normal).. Yikes and YUCK!  I've been CLEAN x's 45 days (off of an 8-10 Norco habit a day) and I STILL find it hard to get out of the house and do things BUT I do know.. that when I do (get off my butt) and get outside I DO feel better... walking, working..horseback riding... ANYTHING that gets you Natural Endorphins going is GOOD... PLUS,, a little fresh air and sunshine is good for ya too!
