Exercising for stress reduction and depression during detox

it was a life saver for me during detox....i went day 1 for 20 minutes on the treadmill...a doctor was teasing me for cutting it short...i felt like spitting on him  LOL...he's a jerk anyway..the next day was 30...then 35/..then 45 and back up to my hour...i can feel my depression fatigue worse on days now when i cant get my time in...that would be the time i felt normal....kicks in about 5 minutes after i would start and would stay with me for ah hour or so afterwards...
Who else tried walking/exercise during detox?

I am not detoxing, (I am on Sub) but I have made it a point the last 3 weeks to walk everyday at lunchtime for 1/2 hour and it seems to help alot with the emotional issues. Releases endorphins I think. I don't care what route you are taking, any excercise helps to release the good stuff. Keep up the walking........does worlds of good in many ways.

I didn't start any activity until I was off the pills for at least a month. And then it was little excercise. I figured out I was wasting my energy feeling sorry for myself. Nothing like a piddy party for 4 months. Now I excersise for at least an hour a day no less. It has made a difference in me, a positive difference. I'm kinda happy too.

I believe the reason I did so well and felt better so fast was because I exercised everyday threw WD .The first few days I thought I was going to die but it did it .It will does help.

the great thing about excercise - it's gets easier the more you do it. Kinda like being clean.

I guess I am exercising with this new job since I literally walk 9 hours a day....LOL
It has been 5 days and I am sooooooo sore but I didn't go into it gradually either. I am constantly lifting, bending, walking, even running sometimes. It has hurt me physically but yet I do feel good in the sense that my endorphins are sure kicking into high gear....LOL
Once I get a routine and am use to it, I know it will make me happier overall and now I wish I would have been walking this entire 3 months just so I wouldn't hurt so bad now and because I do hear from so many that it helps them. I use to work out and even lift weights all the time, then I got slammed with "life and life on pills"........
