Fake ER visits being Illegal

A girl I met in detox told me she was on probation for faking things to get narcotics. From the SAME ER I was doing it at. She also told me they waited about 14 months to get ahold of her and take her to court over it. It's real.

It's called Doctor Shopping and yes it is illegal, the DEA does sometimes go through scripts at pharmacies, particularly pharmacies who fill scripts for docs they might be scrutinizing.   Let's say, if someone is visiting dentist, ERs, several docs, and several medfirst type offices and geting pills from all of them....If this person is not smart enough to spread their pharmacy purchases out and time them adquately, its pretty easy for the law to figure, who is going it......I don't quite know how they handle the scrutiny, but for example if someone does this all in one suburb in a large metro area, and there is one DEA agent that checks the paper in that particular suburb, or small town, or entire major city really.   Say one person sees a dozen docs and gets a dozen scripts, and fills them every month or several weeks, that persons name gets written down somewhere.   I don't know really how they manage that scrutiny, but common sense tells me it wouldn't be hard to find someone, or to prove it

Probable didnt pay the bill so they found a way to keep her from going back and racking up the bill.

I never heard of that. Wonder how they prove you're faking it? Just by the number of times you go? Same symptoms?
