False Positive Methadone

I am currently on house arrest for a dui. Before the moniter was put on the program the officer told me I was approved to take OTC Excedrin for migraines and OTC Unisom. I took more than I should, I was having a really hard time sleeping that night. The next morning my PO calls and wants me in for a drug test. I pee, fail for Methadone (whatever that is) and then 10 mins later they say I'm fine a faint line showed up. I googled what could make you fail a drug test for Methadone and low and behold the approved Unisom is the first thing that popped up. What makes it show up as a positive? Obviously I haven't taken anymore since but I want to bring this to his attention. It shouldn't be approved if this can happen. I'm a drinker, I'm not very knowledgeable about drugs. Also. I am curious, if I haven't taken any since Thursday and I go in again on Tuesday will this still be an issue?

Drinking leads to what you are doing now. Using the unisom more then the package directions called for is addictive behavior. It does not work any better with taking more It just makes one feel like crap. Maybe if you took pkg directions this would not have showed seeing how it was so faint. I would be more concerned about the above instead of bringing awareness to the unisom you took too much of.. Take care of yourself and I wish you well. lesa
