Feelin my oats!! Anyone else?

This must be the enjoyable part of recovery...no drama; just funny! ok, so day 8 and everyone is probably is used to my rambling...

i have been superextra sassy for 2 days! just tellin it like it is. i never do that!! i alwys would think "whatever, i dont care, i'll just go take another perk and make them go away". Well the "new" me is actually pretty bold. I made my husband help with dinner and then we were going back and forth about something and I finally said "ya know what??! I am overriding you on this one" lmao...he just looked at me like she's serious?? Yesterday freaked on him (never really do) and before i knew it he was helping me paint and that is something he woudl never do either.

I guess i've been in this stupor and never realized that i should have been checked for a pulse.

Anyone else??

Oh, my yes.  I'm finding I'm saying things I would never have said before while on the drugs.  I can't believe what I put up with because I didn't want to say the wrong thing!

I'm also not putting up with as much as I used to.  My doctor and I had a bit of conflict the last time I saw her.  She wanted to put me on Ultram and I said NO.  I did not just come off of oxycontin and percocet to get re-hooked on another drug.  She said that Ultram wouldn't be hard to come off of.  Hello, she is not doing her homework.  She is listening to the drug pushers (reps) who frequent her office.

So, I'm staying neurontin for now.

I don't know how much is frustration from all the things I let slide before and how much is me coming back and making smarter choices.

It is all rather strange when you stop to think about it.

yeah...the next battle is getting him off of vikes and whiskey. he's so in denial ecasue he only takes one a day; so he says...thats a whole new topic though. i gotta keep on taking care of me for once and stop worrying what he does. you guys are great!

Good for you!! You're so right about the reps. i used to work in a dr office and it's disgusting how they almost bride the drs to push the stuff!

Cna you tell me aout neurotin? i do have some pain issues in my mouth and i think its a nerve thing. I am planning on going to a neurologist, but i want to make sure i know what it is before i go. If u have time in the next few days, can you just shoot me an email?
