Feeling Stronger Everyday

Today is day 10. Yesterday I got over a huge hump. For the last 9 days I have had this nagging refill hovering over my head. Like I need that with all the other w/d symptoms I've been having. So yesterday I got the courage to post about the refill awaiting me and I got some amazing feedback. I was able to call the pharmacy and void it out. I actually slept 6 hours last night (huge for me lately) and I woke up without that craving. Instead I had a couple of moments where I thought "Oh, it must be pill time." and my very next thought was "No, Robin. You don't take those anymore." And that is fine with me.

I am still tired and not getting the sleep I want, but I feel like the demon is gone. I know I have a long way to go, but I want to go the clean way now. Thank God and Thank all of you that I don't want those nasty hydros anymore!

Hey crazybird a big CONGRATS on day 10 and cancelling the refill. It takes a strong will to do that. It just shows your determination to make it down the road to sobriety. Keep it up you are doing great.

     Congrats!!!! Keep up the good work,, may I suggest you attend na mtgs.
There very helpful, especially when you start feeling like you should be doing something else. Our disease is very sneaky....be careful because it speaks to you in your own voice.....so get a sponsor so someone else will know whats going on in your head.....your off to a fantastic start. I don't have much time before I have to leave for an NA meeting, but I wanted to tell you that I am so happy you made the decision to void that script.  I read your post yesterday and was hoping you would come to that conclusion.  You are through the hardest days.  Every day does get better, trust me :o) I am here if you ever want to chat. Its an amazing feeling when you overcome a obstacle (looming refill) and get the courage to cancel it. Great Job! Congrats on 10days! ((hugs))~Bkitty
