Fentanyl Addiction Possibly

Hi I was wondering if anyone had this problem or know whats happening.
I was on fentanyl 25 mg patches for 8 months then swithched to 50 mg for 4 months taking the patch every 48 hrs.  After putting on the patch I would be good for about 12 - 15 hours then I would start to become very restless, agitated, rls really bad, my body would feel strange sensations that I can't explain, and I felt just awful.  When my 48 hr arrived and I put a new patch on about 30 minutes later I would feel back to normal but tired and exhausted.  It was like I was on a roller coaster ide from being ok to those symtoms (symptoms).  I started to get really depressed and had suicidal thoughts because I couldnt figure out what was going on.  My pain that I was prescribed these patches for kept getting worse as the doctors kept increasing my dose.  Almost seems like my body is reacting to the patches and hurting more causing the doctors to want to keep increasing my dose.  I told my pain doctor no I don't want to increase and she thought it was a good idea to get off these patches.  She is recommending suboxone to get off the patch.  I didnt know you had to taper or use another drug to get off the patch.  Im now more depressed and not sure what to do.  The last thing my doctor did was decrease my dosage from 50 mg to 37.5 every 48 hrs and that made the second day more worse.  But the day I put the patch on im ok until about 12 hrs then samo samo but worse.  She wants me to stay at 37.5 every 48 hrs until I meet with a suboxone pain doctor she referred me too.  Thanks for any advice from anyone
