I've been on opioids for 6 years straight. It all began from a massive neck injury. Whatever the cause to use the narcotics doesn't make it less easy to come off, that's for sure. I honestly have nothing against narcotics whatsoever, yet they are not something I want to be on.
Congrats on 69 days clean. I hope your fully back to feeling like you were prior! Congrats on tackling withdrawal! It's mighty brutal!
Those two weeks of agonizing withdrawal, I did not do much. I'm surprised I recovered just after 2 weeks to be honest. I thought it would take longer. I opted out the suboxone route. This way, I'll think twice before going on meds long term. They say suboxone is easy to wean off, but I don't know.
I'm looking forward to being opioid and doctor free! I'm still not free of it yet, but I will soon. The thing that holds me back from quitting cold turkey is the lack of sleep and the agonizing muscle aches and involuntary muscle spasms. I should of quit the 10mg percs with the fentanyl, then this would be over.lol
Congrats on one demon! While detoxing fro. Heroin I stayed in bed literally for a week. Only getting up to go potty. It was horrible. But I did it and so can you!! I have 69 days clean and this is the longest I have ever been clean so it can happen for anyone! Good luck and post for support:)
