Finished my detox, but CAN'T BREATH! I'm too weak.

I just completed my detox on 7/4/10 from Oxy & Oxycodone by tapering at a clinic.  I started taking it bec. I was mugged & injured, although I was taking very high doses for a long period of time (Oxy). I wanted to get off of it for the longest time, but couldn't find help by tapering until now (w/o having to take other drugs to get off).

I don't have the urge to take the drugs, I'm just in pain, which I'm helping w/Tylenol 8-hr, Motrin &/or the Klonopin, however the worst part that I feel & is driving me mad is that I'm very weak & I can hardly breath!!!  Any suggestions on how long these symptoms might take?  I'm wearing two Clonidine patches ev. 7 days, plus I'm on Klonopin at bedtime & during the day.  I understand these make my blood pressure & heart rate lower.  The clinic told me I MUST exercise, but I can't even get out of bed bec. I can't BREATH!!!! Pls. Help!

Your B/P and heart rate are a bit low. If you were an athelete it would be one thing but you can't move!

When folks have difficulty breathing it's one of two things...a lung problem or a heart problem. Or both.

I would definitely get checked right away. Difficulty breathing is not something to take a "wait and see" posture with...Have someone take you to a doctor!

Now!

"Hi~   Yes!  You need to get checked out right away. What is your heart rate? How old are you?    Have you been eating and drinking?

Hi, yes, I'm 57.  I just checked my BP its 99/73 & my heart rate is 69. But I understand its supposed to be low bec. of the patches & the Klonopin.  In fact, I've always had rather low BP, so that's not surprising.  I KNOW I'm supposed to exercise to get the heart rate going, but I just can't do it!  Any suggestions?

You need to phone your doctor and if it keep up, go to the ER. this may, and may not, have anything to do with withdrawal. Hope you feel better.
