Fioricet abuse and violence

My husband gets Fioricet for headaches.  He doesn't take them as prescribed and takes 10 or more at a time continuously.  I have never seen a person act like him when he is on this drug.  He becomes a different person he becomes argumentive, won't let stuff rest, can't tell him nothing, angry, abusive and on and on.  He just went to jail a couple hours ago for fighting with a neighbor.  Luckily this time is wasn't me.  He refuses to believe this drug changes him like that.  Is this common with abuse of this drug.

Hello. I'm reading this 9 yrs after you posted this after realizing this is why my husband has been crazy every month for the past 4 yrs & we have violent fights. Of course he blames me. Has he been able to quit this or has it killed or imprisoned him yet?

Yes it is. It was one of the many reasons for me to quit.  I was always angry on the pills. Didn't like anyone or anything. I hope going to jail is a wake-up call for him.  See if you can get him to come on this forum. It helps to talk to people that understand and have the same problem.
