Hi again...got through the day, thank you all !! Had dinner waiting for me when I got home from work....and, I look forward to remembering it in the morning. Day 2 of victory over the alcohol. Thank you for taking the time to write to me.....
not remembering what you did thing the night before. been there, done that and pray I never do it again.
good luck with your day by day approach! you can do it!
Hold on to that willingness! You sound great. Keep on keeping on!
Keep pushing forward...one day, one hour at a time. You are doing great. Keep fighting thru those cravings! Prayers your way!
Hey get. You are stronger than you think. You can do this. Aren't you excited for your new life?
k, last one, thank you for identifying with me, I pray for us all.
All the best for another 24 hours....thank you....
I have NO desire to drink today. I commit to posting here daily (hope you all don't get sick of it!!) Because I need to be accountable, and I can be brutally honest here.
There was no feeling like waking up this morning and remembering the evening before with hubby. He didn't have to wring me out last night. I was spiralling so fast, it would only been a matter of time before it took me to the grave.
Thank you kind friends...surrender and willingnes are key for me. (I have to keep my posts short, as they won't load properly, so I will send a few)
That willingness you have has won half the battle already. You'll be able to take care of the rest of it starting on Monday. Congratulations on taking the path to freedom.
Your story strikes a personal note with me. Vicodin, mixed with weed and alcohol was my daily buzz before I did what you're about to do on Monday. I went through 3 detoxes. On the last one I had that willingness I can see in you. When we finally get sick and tired of being sick and tired we become willing to go to any lengths to get clean.
Look below and be sure to stock up on the items in the Thomas Recipe. Also have Epsom Salts on hand for the hot baths which will take care of many of the WD symptoms. Aftercare is a must as I'm sure you've read on here and elsewhere. Detox is an event, recovery is an ongoing process.
Again, congratulations on getting your life back. You're not alone in your journey. Stay on here and continue to post. We're here to support you.
Good work honey!! You are so right about the Vodka and percs. Yikes I'm glad you're here to tell the tale! The first 2 weeks of detox you would be wise to stay away from liquor. It will only make it worse IMO. It will make you crave the percs more because you will not be getting the high you crave. That high will come when you are clean and proud of it! Keep going honey and post often!
