Fladdict

Hi dear,

Sorry to keep bugging you, but I am going thru a lot right now.  my hubby is finally supporting me thru this and what a difference it makes when someone is there to to rub your head when your just groaning and crying.  My marriage has been very rocky lately and i have never had any support.  I always had to do it on my own and am very proud of the fact that I was able to taper my pills for three months on my own.....nobody to hold them for me, but doing it alone was miserable.  I have tried the valerian root caps.....not sure if they are working or they just take a long time ....hours to get me a few hours sleep.  I am trying to stay away from the valium.  I have to admit that I have been taking at least 8-10  10mg valium  since last wed.  I know that is a lot and I am a bit scared now that I can start a problem with them if i keep taking them at this rate.  also, 4 soma at night.  If I don't exceed this for longer than 6 days should I be ok???  I am going to GNC today to get the sub lingual valerian/melatonin and see how that works.  I took melatonin before and it did seem to work better than the valerian......it seemed to work faster and u can take it thru the night if you wake up..  Also gonna get some fresh flaxseed.  I don't know if u ever tried it but it is wonderful.  You grind it and put it in milk, cereal, or juice and wow it makes u feel so good.  Not the flaxseed oil but the seed.....it's a ***** because you have to grind it in a coffee grinder and its a bit messy but it is such a boost to the brain and body.  I mix it in milk and drink it like a shake........it truly works wonders.  Anyway, my question is......do you know of any OTC meds for nausea......i tried the stuff from rite aid and it didn't do much.......maybe you know something better.......my nausea is terrible.  Could it be from the valium and soma, also?????

Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Luv ya angel

Thanks for all of your input.  I think I might try the dramamine or some ginger tea.  I am reluctant to use the sleep aids you suggested because i dont hear real good things about them........if anything i will try the melatonin or tylenol pm or even nyquil.  they always worked well for me as long as i did not have opiates in my system....kind of weird.  Thanks for all your suggestions and taking the time to post to me.  It means a lot to me.......thanks.

Luv,

Ga Guy....  You're alright in my book my friend.  You really take the time to post specifics along with Fladdict and a lot of the others.  It is nice to see your posts.  I could say the same thing about so many others it's just that I happened to read this reply.

Hey Nauty..I know you didn't pose this to me..but, I am so sorry you're having such a rough go at things. I don't know what your monetary situation is..but, if sleep is a major concern, and you're getting wary of the valium (which I understand..it scares me too)..then you could get a doc to prescribe a sleeping pill for the next week or so. I use Ambien CR occasionally and it works well for me. The other 2 big ones are Lunesta and Rozerem. They are all expensive, but every one of them have free 7 day trial certificates on their websites. Maybe alternate between them? Rozerem is a melatonin derivative and is supposedly non addictive. Just a thought. I found that my sleep improved dramatically after a couple of weeks..so, if you can get some sleep until then, you may improve very quickly. Like FLaddict said..Dramimine can help with the nausea. It's an antihistamine..so, it may help with sleep, too. I also use flax seed oil..tastes terrible, but it's does great things for you. I noticed that my skin wasn't nearly as dry after taking it. Anyway, just wanted to give you some suggestions. The only thing I can truly offer is prayers, and you're in mine. God bless..may God speed your recovery. You deserve a quick detox just for being so great at your taper..

Hey honey, yes i would for sure get a different valarian. I always bought the liquid extract kind and put it in some tea to help hide the taste.  For nausea,  I think some of the Otc motion sickness stuff should help. I used phenergan when I detoxed but that is prescription.
I am glad you have support. Its very much needed in this stage of the game. I am running out to do errands but will be back later.

XOXO
