Flu Or Still going through W/D off Pain Meds????

I was just wondering how can you tell if you still having W/D's or the Flu? A friend of mine detoxed 2 weeks ago off 10mg loratabs and says she can't tell if she is sick with the flu or still having W/DS! He says it totally feels like the w/ds are the same and he's still achy etc. and wants the flu shot. What should he do? Please answer...Thank you!

He has 99.0 to 99.9 fever every once in a while and  lil cough, not really, mainly achy and weekness and he keeps asking me if he should go get his flu shot. I think its the achyness that has him confused. I don't blame him thats why Im stumpted myself. I detoxed off the strongest drug in the world, fentanyl and then norco. He did go to the doctor, they don't know. Well I know he said his reg. doctor doesn't know much about drug w/d, just the flu. I feel bad for him!

What about fever? cough? which would be more fluy. I had WD symptoms on days 23.and on for a while. They would come and go but usually in the afternoon. So much depends on how long you were using, age etc etc. many variables. If really concerned about the flu check with doctor or clinic.

Several of us have had brief waves of WD symptoms after the acute phase was over so it is most likely WD related. If the flu-like symptoms are gone by tomorrow that is most likely the case.
