For People Looking into Medical SUB detox

by bettie1976, Sep 09, 2007 03:23PM
I wanted to share my experience on how I got into my detox program. I called a nearby ER and told them I needed to detox off of opiates and they referred me to someone else. Then I got online and looked up what they told me to and was in detox in TWO days. They told me it could take two weeks, depending on if the people on the waiting list called in to check in everyday. Well luckily for me a lot of them didnt. I know for some insurance is an issue and so are jobs but some jobs are understanding when you admit you have a problem and can help you thru this.
Just wanted to let you know there IS hope out there and you dont have to go it alone.
