For the guys..Low Testosterone??

Well, my doctor just did a blood draw to see if the years of opiate use has zapped my testosterone levels. Just wondering if any of the guys have gone through this, know of anyone that has?? I may be premature asking..just thought some people may have some suggestions...

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't have become a priest. My sex drive is fairly low right now. I assumed it's from being low level edgy all the time from the taper, but I never thought about this aspect of it. Something else to worry about. :)

Meanwhile, methadone causes hair loss I hear, so I don't even get THAT benefit from low testosterone! I think you have to be on a lot for that to happen though.

And savas is right, testosterone plays a huge part with male baldness. excess testosterone clogs the hair follicles and prevent hairs from pushing through the surface.

Savas..I have read up on this, and it's amazing the number of men who have their t-levels zapped by opiates. If you go on the androgel website, there is a quiz that asks specific questions about symptoms. Maybe it will help someone here.

I'm probably a candidate for that problem too. I'd be interested in anything you find out on it. At least we won't be going bald...
