Hi, I just got up and saw the "damages" and I wanted to say welcome to a sometimes fractured forum.... it really is a great bunch here and I just wanted to let you know the welcome part.  Most of us are serious about recovery and willingness to help the newcomer.  We have a certain person that seems to be getting on with different call names and causing trouble however it can...  probably 14 or 15 years old with mommy's computer barely able to spell, so please ignore any weird stuff?~~~~ There's lots of great stuff here.

yes most here are dedicated to recieving help and passing along what they have learned..in ways to help and comfort. the past cpl days from what i have seen has had alot of frustrating posts but it wasnt always like this and it wont continue to be like this. welcome to the forum and im always lurking around and looking to see if i can help ..im on day 14 or 15 i dunno i forgot what day i am on ( i know thats not wd's lol ) you will find inspring ppl here that will show you as they complete days how they feel and how they are coping with the trials of beating their addiction. good luck and wish ya the best

I saw that.   I'm sorry, you guys are very kind, I'm bawling.  I wish I could REALLY be near someone who knows how I TRULY FEEL!!!


I DON"T EVEN KNOW IF I"M ADDICTED. .Is that STUPID!?!?  I'm out of my meds.  Made it to the refill date as usual but I was told my normal doc can't medicate me anymore as he is now my father in law.  

So, I now feel like a KID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HAD TO DO SOMETHING!   I don't want to get kicked out of this club but I want to tell.  I don't want to go to a psyc ward either or a detox place.

I don't know what to do.  My husband knows what I did.  He helped me get it.  It was that or the ER with my BP about to blow my head off.

Now, I am trying to force myself to flush this ****.  I feel worse and actually have a headache so my BP is prob up.

UGH LIFE SUCKS BUT I LOVE IT ANYHOW.  If I knew not pain...I'd not know love, for it is the one thing that has been with me since birth.  I was born with 13 broken bones both legs, and my right arm.

yea sadly i was going to post about my day im on and so on..went to type it and went blank..ill go with 14 i think it was 13 yesterday as i had to go back and read a comment i made..yes of course silly im funneling some coffee.
at 1 am my freind from brooklyn called..her and her hubby had some drinks ..maybe 3 too many and called to check on me. so i was up til about 4..one just hearing her talk as fast as she does ..wears me out.
im from TN so we talk slow lol. im trying to find something to do today..i really dont want to sit at home...hope ya having a great one !!

I cannot imagine what you must have to go through with a condition like that.  Is there anyway your father-in-law can refer you to a different doc?  He must know someone - could he could pass your medical file to someone else?  Or what about a pain management doctor?  Can you get off the meds completely or is that an option?  I am sorry if you have already answered these questions - I am still reading all the posts but I know bone pain can be the worst.  I am no sure if I can relate but my dad had bone cancer - the pain that caused him was unbearable.  Anytime you need to talk I am here.

I lost my dad (adopted) in november 2004 only 3 days after Thanksgiving and 3 days after speaking with me after my not speaking to him for 5 years.

I just woke up on TG day and had to talk to my dad.  I broke my back in 5 places that May and got married on Oct 2,2004 to the man of my dreams.  

It's weird how he just said he loved me.  We hung up.  Hubby and I went to movies we got back and there was a message from my dad saying he may not make it thru the night but try to come.  I did try.  He died before I got there.  I just couldn't take the bouncing in my van we had to go slow.  I had imagined flying to  be worse.

What's the name nickname about?  Like fish?  I love to go fishin.  I can cast good coz of the way my arm broke when I was little.  I know that's gross but it's pretty cool coz  I can throw a football better than my brother and he was capt. of Football team. HA   Yep poor guy!  All they guys wanted me on the team but I'd of broke if the ball hit me FOOWLMAO

I caught a CATFISH on something you may not believe and he weighed  5.8 lbs.  I caught him on a PINK JIG that I MADE with pipe cleaner and pink feathers and string and a hook with a jig head.   TOO COOL   I called it the SHELL STALKER.  **Giggles**

MAN I LOVED THAT DAY..  The guys including exhusband were making fun of me because I said I was going catfishin' but thru in the jig. Yeh I had my stink bait and **** like that but I'm a lady and hate dirty hands.  UNLESS there are no jigs.  I MUST FISH so I make exceptions now and then and when the tummy can handle it.

I calmly ...well....actually smuggly said, "YA NEVER KNOW GENTLEMEN!"

BE DANG it wasn't a whole ten minutes.  BAM  I thought honestly that I was hung.  But  no prob I had spider wire.  I had it goin on.

My then husband proceeds to get sick of my whining "man I know it's a fish, aren't you gonna help?  He's too heavy for me."  Seriously man this fish was STRONG and SMART wrapped himself around a friggin log.  I don't know why. I always catch and release. DUH!  LOL

Keith (exhubby jerk)   jerks the rod from my hand, get's on his knees and leans over the dock and says alright woman if you got a fish on here I'll swear you can have anything you want.

He sticks his hand in the water and moves this log that was sticking up and BABAM  my fish wasn't stuck anymore!  No he was flipping and mad coz we figured his lil trick out.  He thought I had some cheap line I guess.  I REALLY think the fish gave me a dirty look when I asked him why he even bothered to fight me.  

After all I was the best fisher-woman there on walker county lake, any day of the week.  I leaned down to jerk my pole back and nearly fell outta my wheelchair but didn't think twice.  I WANTED THAT FISH CAUGHT BY ME.     WooooooooooHoooooooooooo I had me some BRAGGIN RIGHTS FOR MONTHS..And MR KEITH had to get me all new gear.  You gotta admit you can't have too much gear!!...........well better make that years.  Hope you don't hate fishin stories.

HEEHEE LOL  Gee that came as a surprise... funny too.  Ah, let's see, Fish was my nickname in college cause I drank like one, and one day when I went to a posh restaurant and they asked for the name of our huge party I said, "fishmeal." party of 14.  Well the waitress winced but didn't break a smile and we were called.... when I signed up I just thought it would be funny.  Have fished but not reallya fisherman.  Hoped it would bring a smile here and there.

Hmmmmm I wonder if she thought you were ordering the fishmeal or if that was your name.....yep getting silly here **** I haven't slept in a while.  I have a terrible headache! YUK.  I need to ask a question but kinda scared.  I already fessed up and said I went to get some stuff last night but now with this headache, can I take a tylenol or IB with street meds?  The old 80s favorite on the mirror case you are wondering. It's hard to be frank here because I start thinking of children and stuff like that.  I hope not to upset anyone I am just really sick of the headache and don't feel comfortable calling the pharmacist and asking, "so ummmm "dude?" can you like take some tylenol or buprophen with this white stuff.

He'd prob call the cops as he may well should but hell if I can't sleep in my own bed how would I survive in a cot.


I guess I'm so upset because I know BETTER than any doc what is best for me.
I didn't read about this disorder OI in a book, MAN I LIVE THIS LIFE.

I need to loose 100 lbs.  I'm a big girl 200 I've been told I should weigh 99 lbs.
I need an electric wheelchair since the compression fractures
I need a hospital bed that will adjust to sitting or legs up
I bet ANYTHING those 3 things would make me well enough to be happy.

Ok the over the counter meds are like tylenol can cause liver damage if taken in quanties... I don't know how much cause gratefully mine is OK after eating handfulls of vics.... about the others I really don't know but you can "google" and question with pretty good results.
