Free Rehabs??

by LostButterfly, Oct 06, 2009 08:30PM
I was wondering are there any Rehabs that allow a person to be admitted if they have No Job, No Insurance & No Money????
Of course to be able to survive & get the meds... u have a little money, mostly borrowed money. But you know what I mean.....
I know there are outpatient meetings u can go to etc... but what about IN-patient facilities? Where most of us probably need to be to really try to kick it?

Anyone know of how this is worked out?
How can those of us who NEED help... GET help.. when we can NOT afford it!?!?!?

I am in Central Ohio, so anyone know of anywhere around here would be great. But if i found a INPATIENT Rehab which i could go to for free or almost free... i'd go anywhere!

Thanks!! BTW, yes i am a newbie, but did search a lil for this.

Yes there are state run rehabs there might be a wait list but that your best bet . I would start with your local department of mental health and they should be able to telll you what to do from there.

NA & AA are free and in must areas you can go twice a day. Rehabs are also a great idea but remember this after the rehab it is suggested to go to NA / AA for further aftercare. AA / NA also visit the facilities to talk to the patients and let them know there is a place to go. May I suggest going to a meeting first and discuss this with a veteran member. You may find that going to 2 meetings a day can give you the same benefits as a rehab. They will also assist you in finding a good rehab being they go to all in the area to speak and help those fighting their illness. You will be surrounded by people who will give you support, love, rides to and from, and place to go for a good part of everyday. The other thing ask to join them going to a commitment so you can get an idea what they are like. I hope and pray everything works out and you get better.

good luck, feel better, and lots of love

Thank You for the info
