Freebase cocaine

Hello,

I am now 24 and I am an ex-cocainefreebase user. I have been clean for over two years.
Between the age of 18 and 22 I was a regular user to the point that my glass pipe was my whole world. I left North America for Europe in order to escape my addiction. I have managed to stay clean but I still experience extreme cravings (after two years of being clean!!). Moreover I experience an inability to feel pleasure, I have mood swings, lack of interest for sex, fellings of being threatened by others,etc... I understand that my addiction may have caused permanent brain changes that affect me, my emotional and coping system despite the fact that I gave been clean since 1997. Please let me know about the long-term damages my freebase addiction has caused to my brain and perceptions. Why is this evil substance still affecting me after such a long time ! PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND.

I was particularly interested in reading about your lack of feeling pleasure.  My ex-boyfriend was a long-term crack user and had no interest in sex.  He is in denial about it and always blamed me for it.  Thanks for validating my feelings.

I am a regular freebase and crack user which I freely admit I suffer no side effects and feel no shame. I'm sure others would have to agree that the first "kickstart" of the day makes life really worth living. One question though involving pipes, trial and improvement has found a long gauze in the neck of a minature Martell bottle with a small hole in the bottom my prefered method. If anyone has any other ideas about glass cooling or pirex I would love to know.

     I feel your comment is very ill , of course you dont see any side affect because your HIGH, I didnt feel any side effect when I was high, dose any one???? do you even care about side effect??? no , I dont think any addict or ex addict needs reminded of that kickstart, you need help. First of all, this is an ADDICTION FORUM.  People come here with questions about addiction.  This is not a forum to advocate drug use or to ask stupid questions about the best methods for using drugs.  If you are interested in that, go to alt.drugs.hard and enjoy yourself.  Most of the people who post here either are currently addicted, have been in the past, or have friends or family who are addicts.  We can "knock it" because we HAVE tried it and seen where it leads.  If you stay in denial, one day you will find yourself needing the support of a forum like this.

i have read numerous books and even more internet pages sayng things for freebase,crack and cocaine in general. God has made it and we therefore have to use it.Nick is one of the ppl that admits it.So should you....COCAINE is part of the human culture. The sideeffects start from the time you quit..

Brian, I am with you, bud. I am 1week and 3days clean and sober. I had a feeling of hopelessness that has left for the time being. I know it shall come back to haunt me soon. I have been TRYING HARD to quit for so long and cannot seem to, but I just "keep coming back" to AA/CA and/or NA. I recently had an overdose and almost died and that didn't seem to stop me then. I get very confused in my addiction and I think people like you can help me. Also, to all those concerning using, just find someone that will show you how to use, as I did. We do not need a drug-a-log going on these forums. Please let people like myself have some hope with this forum.

This topic started back in 2000. Don't let some jerks comments ruin your time on this site. It can be a blessing for you, and there are LOTS of really awesome people on here that don't have time to play games like the person that made the comments above regarding trying cocaine. They evidently were trying to get a rise of others and luckily not that many people fell for it.

My father, I feel, is addicted to freebase cocaine.  I don't know what to do. I feel so alone in this world, as if I am the only one who is dealing with this.  He comes home from work and locks himself in the garage for hours at a time.  Cut off from the world and reality.  He doesn't communicate or spend time with us-his family. I HATE HIM! I HATE WHAT HE'S DOING TO HIMSELF AND HIS FAMILY! He doesn't stop...he won't ever stop. When he's coming down, I suppose from the high, he's paranoid. He questions everyone and everything, rifles through the house acting crazy. His paranoia creates fights with my mom and with me. I'm helpless.

I am so sorry your going through this hun, addiction takes it's toll on family too. It sounds like your father is going to need some help to stop. Paranoia is the norm coming down from this drug and right now he is lost in his addiction and needs help. What does your Mom say about this?

Hello there , I am interested to know what happened after 11 years !!! do u still get the same cravings?!!!! my new bf is H addict , he clean his body and now he is taking once or twice weekly FB but would love to know if he will be craving for it all the time !!!
