Freezing to death on day 3

Freezing to death on day 3

I cannot get warm for NOTHING. It's sooo hard to get up and move around right now its crazy. It's like I am chilled down to the bone. I can't even think of a shower right now because being without cloths for even a few seconds is impossible. I have soo much stuff to do today too it's unbelievable :(. I don't see how i am going to get through. What can I take to
warm me up? I know what ALWAYS worked but that is never going to be an option anymore. Just looking for something to warm me up. At leastmi stopped sweating thank god.

UGH, that is one of the worst symptoms for me too.. The extreme cold/freezing.   I tend to look a little blue during detox.  The ONLY thing that works is a hot shower. A total lifesaver.  Put the water on real hot, (wait till its hot) throw your clothes off and jump in.  AH.. relief.  Really.

Other than that - just time my dear.  You can also try some exercising.. run in place if you have to.  Its an easy way to raise your body temp.  Me personally Id take sweating over freezing any day of the week.  Good luck.

I would be careful about hot showers or heating pad. One of the symptoms of w/d is fever. a high fever could be dangerous so your should take your temp before any of these then take some Tylenol if you have a temp. That will bring the fever down.

Hey man,  The thing that worked for me was a shower and a cup (or 3) of a good hot tea.  During my w/d I drank a tea callled DETOX,  picked it up at the supermarket in the health food section.  Its by a company called Yogi.  Hope that helps.  stay strong and post often, it really helps.

I used a heating pad and it helped soo much with the being cold n also with the aches. Some on here used an electric blanket I didn't even think about that at the time...wish I had lol. Remember this too shall pass. Keep on going!  Good luck!

HI the freezing su##s....I detoxed in phoenix when it was like 105 outside and still froze
the only thing I found that would work was a really hot bath for like 1/2hr you had to let the heat soak all the way into your bones to get rid of the chill...I took several ever day till it went away...with time it will go away also just hang in there its just one more part of detoxing....good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

Hot baths were the most effective for me - hot as I could stand it. They made me sweat. How about putting a space heater in the bathroom and cranking it up before your bath so when you get out of the tub it'll be toasty? Have lots of warm clothes right there.

Got an electric blanket?

I'm not laughing at you, but looking back now at my detox, I really can laugh now.  I detoxed in the middle of summer - like you gnarly - used to live in Phoenix too.  Anyway, I would be sitting on the couch with a blanket and bundled up and my buddy was in shorts and a t-shirt laughing at me.  I had a space heater in my office going full bore in the middle of July.  Just know that it is a normal part of the body healing and readjusting - it will go away.

Great idea with the clothes in the dryer vicki - I never thought of that one.

Take Care,

S

I have to say that out of all the withdraws I experienced the chills were the worst and they last the longest!!!! After about 8-9 days it goes away. The truest thing that I heard is IT PASSES IN TIME!!!
