Freind in need, need suboxone

Hello, my name is Kris and I smoke weed. But that's not the issue, I don't have a problem. The problem is a good freind of mine, she's been a heroine addict for 1 year now and she just recently told me.

Thing is, i think i might love this person. She's only 17, and im 19. We're exactly alike personality and thought wise, we have a thought connection. And im just so desperate to find her the help she needs even if she doesn't feel the same way about me, we can be best freinds for all i care as long as she gets help.

Ok here's the situation this freind of mine lives in a very strict family. She goes out to cicero (chicago) all the time to get heroine (she snorts it), and almost everytime i see her she's either dope sick or self-medicating herself. She wants to quit, she's desperate to quit, and i want to help her. Thing is her family doesn't know, and her parents are strict... if they found out, they'd send her to some out-of-state rehab for the longest time, and i don't want that to happen.

I recently found out about suboxone, from her. She's quit before using it, but relapsed and can't get it since it's... incredibly expensive, 70 dollars for 10 pills? I want to help her anyway i can, and im wondering...

would it be possible for me being a legal adult, to go into a doctors office, tell them I have the opiod problem, and get a perscription for suboxone? If anyone, especially former dope addicts has advice, please tell me. Please. She's getting worse, every ******* day and it's... just painful seeing her like this... it's unbearable.

please help, where and how can i get suboxone? or any other advice welcome. thank you.

Hello and welcome!

First off, you are asking if it is ok to commit fraud. I will not say that it is.

Secondly, in order to go on the Sub program, you need to arrive at the doctor's office in withdrawal, and they WILL know, then you have to take your first dose in front of the doctor. Since you do not do opiates, you could become very sick. And, you could get arrested.

Most important--she has to do this herself. She has to want this and she needs to ask for help. She is underage and her parents need to deal with this. Treatment is the very best place for her.

I know you are hurting, and this is hard. But, you are enabling her if you do this. Let her get honest and let her get help.

Good luck and take care of yourself.

Hello, and welcome to the forum Kris:)  As far as the getting suboxone treatment for yourself, risky idea.  Have you thought about giving her the money for it, and going with her to the dr's. office so she feels comfortable with it?  Please post back, BA...

I'd add something, but IBKleen put it perfectly. Great advice.

just because she's "underage" shouldn't matter. (if that's the reason you were thinking of 'getting it for her')  she can still go to her pediatrician and receive trertment, get a referral, ect AND her parents won't be able to get her records.  the dr is required to treat her and respect her confidentiality if she requests it.  the only catch is the insurance- they (the parents) could find out about the trtmnt IF she uses her folks medical insurance to foot the bill. but if she pays cash then she should be safe from her parents discovering about her treatment. good luck

You need to se a doctor who is certified to prescribe Suboxone--not all doctors can and I would think pediatricians do not.
