From Mehtadone to Suboxone

I have been on the methadone clinic for 9 months. At most my dose was 55mg. but I've been coming down 2mgs. a week. I'm now at 15mg. (last 4 days) but I want to start taking Suboxone. I had bought some from a trustable source. My question is how long do I wait between my last dose of methadone and first dose of Suboxon? I did this a few years ago but I did it at the clinic and I can't remember how many days I had to not dose before the Suboxone. Any help???

u need to ask a doctor this....are you taking from a doctor????????? sounds like you are not and that can be dangerous/deadly...........but just like an addict to  trust your life in the hands of other addicts by asking this question on a forum full of em.........not being rude but I think you REALLY should ask this to the doctors at the clinic......Good luck, Lee

most will not give u info on switching over to sub ithout a dr...they will on any other narcotic..but sub is like some kinda "special" thing when in reality it is just a very strong partial agonist///NARCOTIC....people take oxy, hydro, lots of other junk off the street and no one mentions anything about talking to the dr cos most r getting them off the streets in the first place..u r trying to get well..u r doing a good thing...15 mgs or below is where people make the jump but u will have to wait til u r in wds from the methadone...sweats etc..u know when u r n wd..and the minimal amount of sub to start is best to c where u r in the wd process..not everyone can afford to go to a sub dr..but u deserve ur cleandom..just here we can not give medical advice..hopefully holly helped u..or u can pm me if need be..good luck
