Hi. Has anyone ever heard or had experience with gabupentin helping with tramadol withdrawal? If so, how helpful is it? Do u have ANY withdrawal symptoms? I have heard it makes a world of difference!! Also how long do u have to take the gabupentin for to be in the clear? I'm going to be detoxing starting tomorrow and need some guidance. Thanks!!

I've be on methadone for 23yrs and I'm not planning on getting off now. I've had so much anxiety over the years that kept me self medicating.  My Dr. Prescribed gabapentin for my anxiety alone.  It has been a god send. I felt so much better within  2 days. 30mins after taking it I felt a sense of calm throughout my body and mind. It was a miracle for me.

I'm on my 6th day off of oxycodone 30s 6x/day!! For 3 yrs straight. And believe it or not with the help of gabapentin 300 3x/day and a few tramadol there and there, I didn't feel no withdraws at all. It took it away 100%. Now ob day 6 and I feel so happy that I'm off those blue devils!! Thank you gabapentin!!

I am on day 8 of withdraw from 100mgs of methadone of 8 years.  You won't start feeling real effects until day 2-5.  No sleep, diarrhea, cramps, cravings, etc..though from methadone withdraw.  I had my Dr. PX Soma for leg cramps and something to help you sleep.  Talk to your Dr. today if you have only been off methadone 1 day.  Days 2-5 are hell.   Do you have someone helping you?  How long were you on Methadone? and how many mgs?
I MAKING IT AN SO WILL YOU!

I'm taking it for methadone wd. Today's my first day and so far haven't had any difference. My counselor said it may have to build in my system first. Just made me sleepy. I'll let u know how I feel tomorrow tho.

Hi. I also have a script for Gabapentin and I find it helps me alot with the restless legs. It was prescribed for back pain but it does help,on a small scale, with the withdrawl from opiates. Good luck!!
