Getting of vicodin

I have been on vicodin for a nexk injury since February. I started to see a pain doctor but I keep coming up short. It's ruining my life. I have kicked a worse addiction to oxyir several years ago. I have some klonopin 0.5mg, tizanidine and flexeril. I cant keep living this way. I'm not strong enough to taper down. Does anyone have any suggestions on things I could take. Last time I used neurontin but I don't have those this time. I haven't gotten the pain yet but I can sleep. Please help

Since, as its put here, this isn't your first rodeo, you kind of know the drill.
I'm sorry but there is still no magic treatment for withdrawal.  Cut off any outside sources for opiates.  Tell your doctor, "no more scripts".  Prepare for a week of being 'Out of Action'.

Hi and welcome,

I am so glad that you have came here and most importantly that you have made the decesion to stop!

Can you tell us a bit more about your usage with Vicodin? How much you were taking etc? Where are you now with your usage? Have you stopped? If you can give us a bit more history, it's easier for us to help you. Most of us here can not do the taper either and many went the cold turkey route, myself included so it can be done. The one positive I read is that you began in Febuary. 6 months is not too long so it will likely be a bit easier than the Oxy. How long were you on the Oxy before? The more you can tell us the better we can understand.

I am not sure if I read your last comment correctly or not. Did you say you are sleeping or your not?
