Getting off subutex but start to jump :(

Getting off subutex but start to jump :(

I have been on subutex, 2mg twice a day for over a year.  The past 3 months now ive been on <1mg once in the morning.  I tried taking the jump off 1mg and found it quite frighting so I got back on sub and decided to try the amino acid protocol for at least a month before taking the jump.  Ive been on the amino thing for 2 weeks now and I dont really have too many changes? Im doing it almost as it says.. heres what i AM taking with it:
Mulit Mineral Vitum- Centrum
2 100 mg of vit. C
2 vit. B complex
L glutimine and L Taurine- 3 of each twice a day
and a herb called Relax all.  Its melatonin, calcium and some flower that helps me sleep?

Am I doing this right?  When I get to the 24 hour mark the next morning, its intense.  Its the same as last time.. it just seems like itll never end.  I wanted this last dr visit to be my last but I dont know if I can do this.  Or maybe just the first 24 hour are bad and the amino acid protocol just takes time to kick in?  I want to be done with this.  I want to be normal.  I feel like im so close yet so far away.  Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated :)

The amino acid protocol will help some but it is no miracle cure. You will still have withdrawal symptoms. I felt it did help speed things up a bit though. I was also exercising which made a world of difference.
I don't know much about sub but have read that when you taper off you should be taking crumbs towards the end of your taper. Have you tried doing this? I've read that some would cut a pill up in to 8 pieces once they were down to 1 pill a day and then drop  1/8 pill every week or so.
Someone with more knowledge about sub will coming along to help out. Like I said above, don't expect the amino acids to work a miracle!
Best of luck!

I'm confused why you would want to jump off such a high dose of subs.I understand you probably just want to get on with you life but, the w/d will be wicked to say the least and will likely last for awhile.I was on Subs back in March and tapered 25% every 3 days , the norm is every 4 days and I even found that to be a bit rough when I reached about 1mg. Subs also have a long half life. You may want to rethink the whole c/t thing.Just a thought!!!
Take care,

Hey bro. My name is Brett and i tried that before by giving subs up cold turkey and it was rough. I started doing coke and that took the edge off but it is from 1 addiction to another. Now 6 yrs later i am leaning off subs again but this time i found out how to do it without suffering any withdraw. I did 2 8mg subs for a month and then the next mointh i cut it down to 1 8mg tab a day for month. Then u go to half of 1 for a month and then u go on quarter of 1 for a month and then u just give them up after that with no problem. By the time u give them up ur body will only be used to a quarter of 1 so thats nothing. Good luck bro if u have any questions feel fee to email me at ***@****

I'm on 3.2mg subutex a day. I started on 8mg and cut myself down to 2mg in a week. The withdrawals start on the third day and are really bad if you just cold turkey. The way off seems to be cutting down really slowly to tiny amounts eg. once down to 1mg maybe stay on it for a week or 2 then down to 0.8. In the Uk you can get 0.4mg tablets, so I can imagine I'm going to end up on 0.4 and then after a couple of weeks ask to take it every other day then maybe a half every third day and see if there's any withdrawals and get clean. If i get the chance I'll probably try to book a holiday for that time when I do my first week clean. Honestly I've tried about 3/4 times just thinking '**** it i don't want to be on this drug, i can do it (i've done gear rattles lots) but it was really hard. Now I"m sticking to whatever the doctor says and accepting I will be on it for a while and to take it REAL slow - just to make sure i never get tempted to take gear again - the cravings came back when i tried to withdraw from subs. Good luck and well done to anyone out there just for getting on subutex. Don't rush it- take all the time you need - a year or 2 if needed. best wishes :-)
