Girlfriend is a pill addict

im not sure if im looking for advice or the hopes that someone will listen, i have been dation this girl for almost 2 years now and im having a hard time with her pill and cocaine addiction, when we first met i didnt know anything about pills and i was 34 years old, i have tried everything that i know of to help her kick these habbits, her drug of coice is methadone and when she cant find that the looks for roxxy oxycotin and just recently cocaine, her family has abandoned her so it makes it real difficult for me to leave her, i guess im scared of what might happen to her, i care a lot about her but i want out unless she stops now, she has tried detox and didnt work, i know they have methadone detox where they keep you sedated the whole time so you sleep through the withdrawels, the only problem is that it is 7 thousand dollars, anyways thanks for reading

thanks for you comment, she says she wants to stop, i believe she is looking for something thats just going to take it away, im trying to get her to understand that this is going to take a lot of work, ironically she is also a diabetic and its also out of control, many night i have had to check her glucase and inject insulin while she has been nearly out

rapid detox is not usually done with methadone//and seeing that this is her DOC it would probably not be a good maintenence drug for her either

does she want to stop?  I hear u saying U want her to stop....and it is admirable that u care so much for her//she is lucky to have u///thing is she has to want this...addiction is not sumpin u can "undo" in a fast detox or any type of detox unless the person wants it deep down inside..relapse is part of this ugly disease and it is a life long affliction//it does not go away///we only learn how to live a healthy life in spite of it///and it takes work//and will power,,,and the person has to be sick and tired of being sick and tired
aftercare of some type would benefit her much more than a fast overnight detox///meetings or counseling of some type////if this is not what u want as a wife/girlfriend///and she is unwilling to change or seek help//then u have to change ur definition of what u want...or let go...addiction doesnt get better without treatment..aftercare is like insulin is to a diabetic///without it we will wither away

sorry for the spelling, i have been up for two days making sure she doesnt burn the house down, what i didnt mention is that she also takes xanax, she takes so many that she will fall asleep where she is standing
