Nicely said! Yes I was thinking that yesterday also when my dogs got out. I thought that maybe god was giving me a sign that things "COULD" be worse. In that case, when my dogs got out..they could have been killed on the busy highway. So to your comment, yes I agree...things could be worse but I pray with all my heart and sole that they do not get worse! And that prayer is for everyone here as well!

Thanks for the post emily!

Well..I managed to get the dishes done. WOW. lol....next I am going to attempt making something to eat. I ended up getting some excersise thanks to my dogs ( sigh) Whom escaped out the front door thanks to my CAT whom opened the door.

Thought this was something to share with everyone for a little smile. Although I was not smiling at the time. ;)

Yes my cat CAN open my door if it is not locked...it is one of those door handles that you pull down?
So anyhow, I come out of the bathroom and see both my labs have run out. And here on my patio is innocent lil kitty.

So as I have no car right now, I am panicking as they would not listen to COME, and headed towards the busy road. Finally was able to get friend/neighbor of mine..we jumped in her truck and one of my labs was returning back, but we still had to find my other Yellow, named Milo.

So as we are driving my friend says..look over there looks like Milo is in there. A car dealership. Bless their little hearts, sure enough there was my bad little boy running through the dealership chasing a tennis ball. They did indeed cross the busy road, a 50mph highway. But thank the lord he was watching out for them and the people at the dealership whom took Milo inside from harms way.

So thankfully both are home unharmed. But boy did I yell at them!

Just thought I would share my little "not so funny at the time" experience, looking at this as I am writing it, is a bit comical.

:)
HUggs all!

Vicaddict,

I know exactly how you feel. I have been putting off laundry for so long that I HAVE to do it or I'll be wearing a blanket. I have found that when I accomplish one little things it makes me feel better when it's done, and sometimes I go on and do a little extra thing or two.

I always counted on long hot bubble baths for relaxing but I wear the fentanyl duragesic on my back so that's not an option for me. When I'm totally weaned off of these things that's the first thing I'm going to do. I will soak until I turn into a prune. lol

I know how hard this is for you, but the important thing is that you're doing it. You're accomplishing something. I hope you have a smile on your face when you're done.

Best of Luck......LS

someone once told me that the home is like a cell in the body of the world - it ain't just your little place and you just do for yourself and it ends with whoever lives within the doors... each "little" act of housework ripples out all over - every bit healthier your cell becomes affects all the other cells everywhere... not exactly that the breath of a butterfly wing in China affects today's cloud cover where you are... but your "small" acts of mt everest heroic housecleaning are changing yourself and all of us for the good - so thanks a lot and please keep up the good work!!! (and it don't mean just the housework! I was just takin' what your doing today as a f'rinstance!)     nefesh

Sitting here thinking...maybe that was a sign to let me know, things are not always as bad as they seem? Could have been worse if they had not made it safely across that road.

Hmm..something to ponder on now.......

Hey, vicaddict,
How are you feeling right now? It's about 7:30 here, and just wanted to check on you. CONGRATS ON GETTING A FEW THINGS DONE TODAY!!!!!!!!!! HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT, WITH WHAT WE ARE ALL GOING THROUGH! I was thinking earlier, while I was rearranging things around the house (something I do when I get stressed)...this withdrawal thing isn't so bad. And before anyone jumps on me, hear me out...we could be dying of cancer right now, in a thousand times more pain than we are in right now. We could have just lost a loved one, and never see them again. We could have AIDS, or Lupus, or some kind of life-threatening, NEVER ENDING painful condition...KEY WORD, NEVER ENDING!!!!!!! These horrible and painful withdrawals are not to be taken lightly, but our lives could be so much worse. At least there is a light at the end of the tunnel for us...their probably isn't for most people dying of cancer and AIDS and such. So today, I have been trying to count my blessings, and thanking God that all of our worst problems are feeling like **** and not being able to get out of bed for a few weeks. Any input, anyone?? Keep up the good work, vicaddict and all the rest of you. We MUST count  on each other. We DO have power over our own bodies, even though we feel like we've surrenderred to the pills...soldiers are going to Iraq to conquer the worst villians in the world...WE CAN CONQUER PILLS!!! RIGHT EVERYONE??????????????
