ADDICTION: SUBSTANCE ABUSE COMMUNITY
Goodnite all

Goodnite all

I think I have said enough this evening.....
Please all keep this in mind the most important thing here is recovery!
What ever way you get there, just get there....
All this thin skin is not healty for recovery it just another wall to climb....
Stop using and get into recovery it feels great believe me......
I have my life back and I am no longer a slave to drugs.....
Finally I make the choices again and that really feels good.....
I now have 18 months and change of clean time and it is still hard work to keep me there.
An addict is an addict for life but once your clean and you get some clean time it becomes much easier and your skin gets very thick again.......
It is really great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goon night to you and thank you for posting that.  It is always good to hear from people who have a little sober time under their belts.  It inspires the rest of us to keep going.

Take care,

Shelby

You said it best of all.  I learned in the first few weeks I was here not to have thin skin and not to take everything personally.  We are all here for the same reason.  Most of us anyway and that is because we're addicts.  I know that it's nice to have friends, etc., but my main goal is my recovery.
Thanks for your way with words,
Yoda
