Got too optimistic and cocky...

It's be 4 1/2 days now since going off a 60-80mg per day Oxy habit. I think I was getting a little cocky by thinking that this was gonna be fairly easy. I'm using clonidine this time, and it's helped tremendously, but today has almost kicked my butt. I don't know if it's because I lowered the clonidine a great deal (.4-.6mg daily to .2mg today so far), but I have been having light-moderate anxiety today. Also been very lethargic, which comes and goes. I hate this pin ***** feeling I keep getting. Reducing the clonidine increases anxiety, but does increase my energy. I don't know which one I hate worse. Until now, things haven't been as bad as they have been before. Here's my schedule for those interested in their own detox...
Day 1- Bad diarrhea, Moderate anxiety, No energy, terrible dry mouth, sweats No sleep
Day 2-Same as Day one except sweats went away, no sleep
Day 3-Moderate diarrhea, low energy, no anxiety, Ambien CR-Slept 4 hours
Day 4-Mild-moderate anxiety, low energy

Thank God I haven't had the aches and pains some people had. Just a very light tension headache at times. Any advice, suggestions would be appreciated...

I think, in my opinion, you are coming down off the clonidine a bit too soon.. The drugs you were abusing are just now coming out of your body.. I know you wanted energy but dropping the clonidine now may not be the best idea.. IT does help so much... When I started cutting it down I cut half pills every few days... I still felt I needed some even on Day 7.. everyone is different and every detox is different..so I don't know.. If you are still feeling bad maybe now is not the time to cut down so much..
You are doing great though so don't let anything discourage you.. Getting cocky isn't good either though...

It so9und slike you're doing well considering and in comparison to most.  I would say that you have to deicde if you'd rather have the anxiety for a while or more energy...
I would prefer to be a little more lethargic until the first week or so is over, then I wold be up for having more energy.
Good luck to you.

Thanks all for the suggestions. The reason I'm coming off the clonidine sooner than later is that I'm down to 8 .1mg tabs. I could have gotten more, but didn't honestly know I was this low until last night (my reg. pcp is off on Friday. So, I'm trying to save them unless this anxiety gets above moderate. I have a big BBQ to go to tomorrow, we'll see how it goes I guess. I'll be either fidgety as all heck, or have to take the clonidine and snore through it...

I found taking my doses in halves but more often helped me... maybe you can conserve that way...

I haven't quit c/t , just tapering. But i'm having bad w/d symtoms anyway. The anxiety and no sleep is probally the worst. My daughter whose a health nut, gave me this "Organic Nighty Night" made by Traditional Medicinals. 1 cup calms me down and 2 will put you to sleep. I'm talking 8 hrs of sleep. Even feel groggy when i wake up. But it's worth it to get sleep. It has passionflower, chamomile, linden and hops in it. All of which are also healing to our nervous system. It has helped me tremendously!!!!
My doctor gave some Lunesta (sleeping pills) but i haven't used any yet. Hope this helps. Wish u the best!!!
