Grabbed a couple hours sleep

I finally fell asleep for a couple hours without realizing I had.I'm really starting to take a hard look at the pros and cons of all these meds.I never had any of these problems before my back pain and physcological (how ever you spell that)problems.My wifes in bed again (big surprise)No sleep,and the panic attacks are the worst,I'd cut my arm off to be rid of those,and just the overall feeling of not being well.Sometimes I feel I'm being punished for something I did in a past life.This is just no way to live,I'd give anything for one day of peace and happiness,I'm not greedy just one.The panick attacks seem to be at night mostly and even though I live right next to a fire dept.I never think they will make it here on time if something happens to me.It's soo sad to live like this,and worse is this is the only place I have to come with my problems because my wife is so selfish.Don't get me wrong everyone here has been wonderful,I don't mean it that way,you would just think family would be the place to go.Anyway I still don't know the comparison of ms contin and percocet if anyone could answer that it would be very helpful.I usually take 2 60mg ms contin,but all I have is percocet 10s right now.Thanks.

Good that you got some sleep even if it was by accident.  Maybe better that way, your body took over and just shut down for a while.....good sign I think.  I am a very restless sleeper and wake up 6-10 times per night.  Never get past dream sleep, so I empathize with restlessness.

ms contins contain morphine 60mg per pill is what you are taking. they are a slow release type of pill which is why you usually only take them 2-3 times per day. percocet 10's contain 10 mg of oxycodone and usually 325mg of tylenol. oxycodone is stronger than hydrocodone but not as strong as morphine. you probably will have to take them more often. the percocets can be taken every 3-4 hours as needed. i am a nurse and have worked with cancer and hospice patients so i know A LOT about pain medication which is probably why i'm also an addict. i've given up the vicodins and now i'm legally on the duragesic patch. i have a congenital back disorder and have been told without surgery i'll be on pain meds forever. the patch works! i don't crave pills. i'm on 50mcg. i change them every 3 days. have you ever tried these? they might work for you. hope the best for you. we are here if you need us.

The ms contins are stronger than the percs---that's why you're feeling this way, you're in withdrawals, I think.  Did your wife steal your drugs so you're only left with the percs or did something else happen?

yes,my wike ran out of her percocets and wanted me to give her some of my morphine this has been going on far too long and I finally refused and so she helped herself,and now I have only the percocets left until friday.

That is terrrible..Oh my i cannot imagine my husband being an addict too..That would not work out..because the addict would take each others pills.
but i would hope that if my husband was in REAL pain i love him too much to do that..BUT who knows , i am not saying i wouldn't but i would hope not..
I am so sorry, how bad is your pain?
by friday you should be tthrough the worst..Do you think you can just manage the pain with percs, after these w/ds pass from mscontin??
