Gratitude List

We havent done one of these for awhile so lets all get involved here!  What are you grateful for?

I am grateful for my sobriety and knowing i have choices.  I am grateful for my family and my support group.  I try and count my blessings everyday, sometimes even thru the tears~

I would also like to express my gratitude and love to a very special angel, Katie.  She gave the ultimate gift to someone who is very special to me~

Grateful for.....
1. To no longer be a slave to my drugs is the issue I'm MOST grateful for.
2. My family that has stood behind me the entire time (of course I'm sure they're quite tired about hearing about recovery as it's the main component in my life)
3. Recovery - because without it, I wouldn't have anything to be grateful for.

There are lots of things to be grateful for.  Sometimes, when **** is hitting the fan, we forget this.  I do!  But handling life today, clean, is sooooo much easier than when I was using. I can hit **** head on instead of procrastinating and hiding.  I was tire of hiding and letting fear rule me.  I RULE ME now!

So hard for me not to put a bunch of sarcastic things here.  Jeez I'm really kind of an *******.  I can come up with a million things that I'm irritated or angry about but I have a really hard time coming up with things to be thankful for....and I'm sober, happily married and really well off financially.  Ok so I guess I'm grateful for those things.  But not near as grateful as I should be.
