Gray Day

I woke up this morning and looked outside and it's a rain gray day. The bright side is I am taking the bottle of vicodin out of my briefcase. I have been keeping there "just in case". Well, I think I am past that now, I hope. It's like finally thowing away your favorite pair of jeans.

just curious, why do you have a bottle of vicodin in your briefcase? throwing it out may be hard to do, but that would be huge in recovery and give you so much strength. a while back i found coke in an old card deck i had hidden and i flushed it. i literally vomited cause it was so hard, but it made me see i was truly done using.

at least it's raining there, here it has not stopped snowing and i can't take much more, lol

i threw out my baby benzoz on day 4.. it felt so good I did a little dance!!! do a little dance when you get rid.. it makes all the difference - like a victory stance if you like... i dont know it worked for me...

Morning!  I had to keep vicodin around when I stopped.  My reason - I would panick if I did not have a choice.  I was afraid I would get p.o.'d and call and get a big fat stash, so I kept a few around.  I am not sober long, but I do know that we know what is right..somewhere down there!  The problem is, it is our addition that is in charge and is lurking, waiting for a chance to give you a reason to use them.  If it is working, do it.  If you find out it is not working and your mind was just playing tricks on you, you won't do it next time.

It is a different battle for everyone.  I just want the battle to be over, so I can focus on being the person the God Lord intended for me to be!

It's gray here too, but I swear in Pittsburgh we get more rainy days than Seattle.
