Gynecomastia

Is it possible that excessive drinking can cause Gynecomastia?
I am a 37 year old male and notice tenderness in the nipple area on my chest. I also have a fat area around my waist (since I am not that active). Therefore, I am not surprised to have "male breasts." The tenderness in the nipple area concerns me however.
Please let me know if alcohol use can cause Gynecomastia.
