Has anyone else had complications like chest pain?

I just joined this forum today but I'm already finding it super helpfull.  Has anyone else developed problems like
chest pain or liver problems from taking too much tylenol (along with codiene?)  About two years ago, I started taking a few nips of alcohol too each time I took the meds just to make the effect stronger.  Now I'm really worried because I'm having chest pains, especially at night and my Dr. has said I've damaged my heart.
Just curious... because a LOT of tylenol can cause all kinds of problems.
Very worried...

Welcome. For over 10 years I took alot of tylenol#3 and #4 and drank lots of beer. Was starting to really worry about the liver too. Had it checked and was ok.Was taking up to 20 pills a day.I am NOT saying this a good thing to do.Try to get off the tylenol, but DO NOT,move up to something else like I did.
Now I am on methadone and tapering off that  "NIGHTMARE".
Listen to others here and you will find the best way to get back to yourself.

PS: no chest pains                                                                                          Take care    karl

it would be impossible to tell what your chest pain symptoms are at this point. The only way to know if you have heart damage is to go to a real doctor and have tests done (EKG, echo EKG's etc). Your pain could be anything from simple heartburn to a pulled muscle to anxiety attack and  large multitude of other possibilities as well. I would make an appt w/ the doctor if it persists or becomes severe

i just re-read your post again, and it says that your doctor DID say its your heart damaged? what tests did he do?  and are you off the pills now? Im sorry Im not familiar with your story yet . I am glad you found this forum though, keep reading and posting!
