Having a hard time

I'm having w/d and I feel like everyone around me is doing everything they can possibly do to annoy me. Maybe it's just me but man things are really testing my patience. It's really overwhelming me. I just had to vent here cuz no one else understands. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........................

An opiate is an opiate.  Call it oxymorphone, oxycodone, morphine, vicodin, percocet, roxy, you name it...we all have the same battle to face at the end of using it.  The withdraws are the same.  The severity is different depending on how much and how long we used.  You are not alone in this battle!

Sorry HadEnough, I jacked your post.  LOL!   Just remember to take care of YOU first and the rest will take care of itself.  We have no control over anything outside of ourselves.  It took me a loooong time to realize and accept that.  We can't make people or circumstances be what we want them to be.  That's part of accepting life on life's terms.  You are doing great, keep fighting the battle.  Gear yourself up for the day to day stuff and retreat when you need to.

It's all good.  What you said applies to me also.  I took a huge jump off my DOC today and am already feeling lousy.  So few here have used oxymorphone so I feel like I'm in this mess by myself.  I suspect I'll be spending a lot of time in my garage, probably sobbing.  Gotta pay to play I suppose.

Hope, find yourself a happy place.  The subs should be helping, and te feelings will pass.

Hi hope..It will hang tight..I am in my 6m fri and I still have to go to my safeplace alone..My husband has just been a blessing all the way..He does the dishes once in a while and just lets me do what ever..I am doing alot more now, but I still need that place of my own..For me in the first few months I could not have anyone in my area of recovery..I had to put up a bunch of bountries...The people who know u and love u should totally understand..I sure should hope so...If not by some videos on the "Disease of Addiction" My hub watched that over & over a few times..Maybe that is why he gave me time to heal...
You are doing great..

Thanks guys its just so overwhelming all in its own. But with all this crazy stuff happening it makes it so much worse. I feel like I'm really being tested with everything that keeps happening. I just wish things could be calm and ok until I get thru this. Thanks for the support :)

I apologize to both hope6hope and to HadEnough0920,

I read down the page and when I went back up highlighted HadEnough's status, thus the reference to an old man from the Yukon. Anway, hope6hope, if nothing else I'm hoping that this skillful move of mine puts a smile on your face. The rest of what I said above still applies accept that now I'm talking to a woman. All apologies & good night to you both. I definitely need sleep..

Hey,
Hang in there. Vent all you want. I mean you're 112 yrs. and live in the Yukon. You've earned it, man. Seriously, I'd agree that it's just the w/d's. I get like that too, one minute you're up the next your down. They may **** you off but remember you might want one of them to bring you food or buy you cigarettes, etc. so don't run them off. Hang in there. You'll punch through to the other side of this soon. All the best...

Hi there..This is one of the things we talked about tonight at the meeting..Not so much in w/d state but what still goes on in the world and people around us...I know what HadEnough said is about what u need to do..during my many months of feeling like s**** I had to got to a SAFE PLACE. I could not have any body that was going to cause any drama or stress..It is sssoooo important that we have time for ourselves to heal...You talk about w/ds but I thought you have been here for while..I get you guys mixed up..Ha!!!
Hang tight...It will be alright..
God Bless....vickie

It's fight or flight time. When we feel uneasy, uncomfortable or as you are-in wd we typically want to flee. Doing this will help but will ultimately have u focus on your surroundings and how they are a bother. If you choose to fight however you can get confidence and build upon that. What I mean by fight is instead of trying to alleviate issues with yourself try and help someone else. Depending on the severity of your symptoms this is a great way for you to feel free and able to take on anything that may come your way. Stay strong and know you are doing a great thing.

It's just the WD talking.  Every little thing is magnified when we don't feel good.  You know how it works.  I usually go hide out in my garage just to get away for a bit.  If you can, maybe go for a walk with some music to escape and clear your head.  The anxiety will pass.  Keep up the great work you've done so far.
