Having some pretty severe symptoms

Was feeling a lot better a week ago, everything is back, 3rd day of it. The funny thing is I felt fine for a couple hours after I got up this morning it's coming in waves anxiety, heart banging, whole body shaking, BP 168/95 (usually runs around 110/60), ornery want to be left alone to die. Took my last little piece of a valium on the 23rd in the evening so this is day 9 with no valium after 5-1/2 months tapering. Go to Doc tomorrow and it's going to be below zero out. My L foot is cold, numb and burning. I relate that to detoxing. It was much better a week ago. I had heard there is a 2nd wave after a week or so that I was hoping I would avoid, but no such luck.

Can anyone that has been through this tell me how long this 2nd wave lasts? I have been toughing it out and doing okay without the 5-HTP and Theanine that an herbalist Doc told me to get. I should have picked it up when I was feeling better but I didn't think I would need it. I know I'm dumb as a rock. I should have known I couldn't get off that easy.

I posted this a couple days ago and didn't get any response, hoping to hear that it should go away in a day or 2. After this taper I could do 2 days standing on my head. Hopefully I won't be asking questions after this, Lord willing.

Thanks in advance
Barry

Haha I want a Twinkie now! They quit making them or selling them where I live years ago. Have you tried the melatonin for sleep? I know it takes a bit to build up in the body to start working. Some ppl it doesn't work for at all. It didn't for me when I was in the first few weeks of detox. But I do feel I can get 3-4 hrs on it now.

Thanks for letting me know about the 8 weeks gnarly. But you didn't taper did you? I was hoping that healing happens when you taper, especially when your 2mg and below. You really feel like crap, at least i did. Yep, like you say its almost gone then boom. Thats what I needed to know. Really appreciate it!

lol, that's a great nic

Hi, Krissy, I know someone that detoxed from a lot of oxycodone and xanax, he said oxy was a bad one to get off. Congrats! I know what you mean about sleep. My wife used to wake me up out of my office chair on her way to bed sometimes. I'd be leaning with my twinkie on the floor lol  Now I'm sitting here after midnight all bug eyed and don't even want a twinkie.  :>/

I was on oxycodone, not the benzos. But my withdrawl/detox was the same. One day I'd feel great, like I could do anything....and the next day I'd feel like total and udder sh¡t again!! I know with me it did get better,I'm 104 days clean now and I still have some anxiety issues and insomnia. Haha I miss that feeling of just closing my eyes and sleep was there, but I don't miss the why of it. With time you will start to have more good days than bad! Hang in there dude, and congrats on quitting!!! xox Krissy.
