Headaches after 3 weeks into this???

Headaches after 3 weeks into this???

I've been having headaches 24 hours a day since I quit the loritabs.  The aches have gone away, the depression is clearing, the irritability has improved, stomach problems are gone...  but the headaches are killing me.  I can't do anything.  And I have a house and two kids to take care of.  I take 800 mg of ibuprofen, but it doesn't touch them.  I have an appt with an oriental medical dr. for some accupuncture this Friday, but that's a long way a way.  Does this sound like w/d symptoms still?  Has anyone else experienced this?  Any advice?  Thanks.

Very well could be or it might be something your usage was hiding. Can you take aspirin if you can try that with a soda whatever you like that has caffine .That helps me sometimes I have alot of headache problems . At some point if it does not stop you will have to see a doctor good news there are many many headache meds that are NOT addictive .... Let us know how things go.

Hi Avisg, thank you.  That is a good suggestion that I really hadn't thought of.  I'm so used to not being able to take aspirin because I'm on long term prednisone, but they've lowered the dose, so it should be okay.  I started the loritabs due to headaches...  So if the accupuncture doesn't help, I'll go back to my doctor for something non-addictive.  But I'm definitely going to try some aspirin!

I had headaches for weeks after I detoxed. They're most likely tension headaches caused by the stress of the detox. Try relaxation techniques or get a massage. If the headaches reduce after a massage, then they're most likely tension induced.

Yes, I will check on the aspirin before trying it.  I can't really afford it, but am going to see about a massage as well.  Thank you.

Hi - just wanted to share with you - just slight headache for last two days!  I'm so happy.  I'm not sure how I will feel tomorrow, but I enjoyed the last two days!

They got better on their own.  I have lost a lot of faith after my illness and what I've been through and what my kids have been through because of it, but I prayed and prayed the night before, and woke up with out pain.  I think I'll continue to try to pray more often!

I had similar problem and found that drinking lots of water cured it. I guess I was really dehydrated and dehydration can cause wicked headaches. Just a thought. Glad to hear its getting better.

Headaches are gone.  I ended up going to see an Oriental Medical Doctor - she used acupuncture and the headaches have been gone since.  Yea!
