Hello, for the first time from a hydro addict: screaming meemies.

Arrrrggghhh!   2-3 months, daily, usually 20-50 mgs, Lortab, 10/500.   Started reading the list about 3 weeks ago when I began to admit there was something pretty wrong.   It's Fri. about noon.   My last dose was 5 mg on Tues. night. The last before that was 10 mg Tues morning.   Not so much pain or nausea, some diarrhea.   Its  the durn screaming meemies that have got me.   No sleep on Wed. or Thurs. night.   I just want to jump out of my skin.   I take adderal to get through the day.   I am prescribed adderal and seem to have no addiction to it, somehow.   I don't take it on the weekends, not because of choosing not to.   I just don't have the inclination.   I'm from Louisiana and I like to eat too much to be a very good speed nut.   Sorry, mind is racing around in circles.   Anybody think they might know when I get to sleep again?   I'm afraid to ask my doctor for help.  I don't feel like having to deal with "druggie" label.   Once when I was a teen I went through detox and broke my hand.   Literally, bones broken, and those bastards wouldn't give me a pain pill.   I'd trust doctors more if they weren't such tools of medical chic.   Sleep though, I really could use some sleep.   I'm sitting on 27 10/500s and they are calling me, man.   Really just wanted to post something, too.   This seems like an awesome group.

well with the sleep it seems like the more you  stress about getting the sleep the chances of getting it are slim. don't make a big deal out of sleep even though you want sleep like everbody else seems to be doing. if you cant sleep just tell yourself oh well. or take some OTC tylenol pm or something. Just dont stress about sleep thats what i found out was the most important thing.

Thanks for your reply.   I really appreciate the discourse.   I am trying to keep an easy attitude about the sleep thing.   I guess it might be better this weekend with no wake up times.   I'm not sure if I can handle more than a night or 2 more of this, tho.

2-5 10s a day?  For 2-3 months?  That doesnt sound like a whole lot, im not sure why your withdrawals would be so difficult.  I guess we are all different.

Welcome! You have come to the right place. The people here are kind and very supportive. I know sleep can be a problem and it's hard to say when you will get back to a full night's sleep, but it will get better. It sounds like you're doing this c/t. There are people here that have done it that way and some that have tapered off the drugs.

I'm sure more people will come along to post and add much more. I'm on fentanyl patches so my w/d is a little different.

The best thing to do is keep posting....take care....LS

for me, i think exercise helps those screaming feelings .........i dont know if you have tried it, but try excercise.  Helps me a lot!  Not from withdrawal really, but just when i feel stressed and feelin that wanting to jump out of my skin feeling.  I have taken 4 per 10s  day average for 41 days and today is my last day, so i am not sure if i will have withdrawal as you are experiencing, or not, but im preparing myself.
