Help, I am really scared

Help, I am really scared

I just stopped taking Vic.  I started because of migraines. I was up to about 6 to 8 a day for about 1 year.  At the most 10.  I have not had any for 4 days now.  I am scared to death I may have really done damage. I called my doctor because I have a slight yellow tint in my eyes, just in the bottom.  I feel okay except for the withdraw but I will live through that as long as I am okay.  I can't tell the doctor the full extent of the vic use because my father is a doctor and his friend so I will have to mention using some vic and a lot of Tylenol.  I have not gotten a call to come in yet do you think i have done a lot of damage?  I really am scared!!  Please any words of wisdom or advise I am crying and very scared!!!

I agree with dave. If (and only if) you have indeed done a little damage to your liver, it's probably minimal.  Like Dave said, just tell your doc about the yellow tint in your eyes.

The yellow tint to your eyes could be from the vicodin abuse, and might not have anything to do with your liver. Of course, get it checked to be sure! When I stopped using Vic's (my habit was 40 to 60 Norco a DAY! My liver is probably damaged big time!) the first thing people told me was my eyes looked bright again. I had a fog in my eyes that I didn't even notice.

Plus, from what I understand, the effects from drug use might not happen right away. It could years down the road before it starts to show. Just a thought,..

Well i just came from the doc.  He does not think I have anything to worry about.  He did some blood work and is going to call me with the results tomorrow.  He said what I thought was a yellow tint to my eyes was not.  It was just irritation.  But we did blood work to be sure.  I am taking it as a sign, and a good one hopefully.  That was enough to scare the hell out of me.  I am on day 5 now.  I have stomach pains but I am thinking it is from the withdrawal and stress of not sleeping and worrying.  Is stomach pains common with vic withdraw?  It feels like cramps from running to long or like a stomach flu, or I could have that since every other kid in school where I teach has been throwing up!! Thanks for letting me vent!!
