Hey to all that has been typing and helping me out i just want to give you a quick update...well its4:40 pm and i have taken 30 today( as of 1:40pm I know this because i keep track of how many i take on my cell phone and the time...pretty bad huh...but it keeps me in check somehow..stupid huh??) usually i would have done at leasr 40 by now...that may not seem like a big difference but its a start,,but i know between now and when i am in bed i could easily take the 30 more...i am getting ready for church at 6 tonight and hope that while i am in church i will once again ask for help and maybe this time it will work.. i feel like if i keep in contact with you guys it may give me some hope or motive to realy do this...i still dont know how to tell my husband but i know i should...please pray for me because i feel that this is all i got left  somethings gotta give
am already shakin cause it has been a few hours  i usually dont go more than 2 or so hours..unless i am asleep...wich has been a full night in i dont know how long..during the night i try not to take any so i know ican go at least 5 hours but boy is morning tough
well  wish me luck here I go  by tapering off i am not sure what to do or how i should do it..do i just take it as needed i would never get off.this stuff..okay i im getting wordy,,keep me in your prayers i will hopefully have good news after church...i hope!

Your on the right track,keep coming back to this site!  When I first got here wasnt sure what to do now I am tapering off slowly and its working.  I know how you feel it is so hard just the thought of not taking the pillls anymore SCAREY!  Dont know how were gonna live without are little friends!  In church tonight pray for the courage to keep on pray for me while your at it!  Talk to you soon.

You are on the right track.  If you usually take 50 a day, that's essentially 1 every hour.  To taper, you need to stop taking them in high volumes and spread them out evenly over the day.  So, if you want to drop from 50 to 45 tomorrow, try taking one every hour and 15 minutes or even every hour and a half. Then the next day, stretch it out by 15 more minutes.  That's really the only way you'll be successful tapering.
